Learn the Quad 4, I did! I rebuilt my whole car from the ground up including the blown motor! I restored the whole car in 10 months! Paid $400 for it!
The finished product!!!
KEEP THE QUAD DUDE! THEY KICK ASS!

Pull the motor, get a good used head, replace the bearings and gaskets, pretty simple and cheap, or better yet, find a good running used quad and swap it out! OR If you're so desperate for a running car, BUY A RUNNING CAR! lol

If your going to remotor a rare Quad Z with a V6, you might as well sell it someone who will take care of a rare car, and treat it as such. If your worried about cost of a motor change for the Z, its gonna cost more to drop a 3.1 in than it would to convert your car to a 5spd. There is nothing to weld in a 5spd conversion, find a 92-94 V6 5spd cavy or sunbird and swap the parts.
