thanks for all of the comments! yea it was well worth the work involved. there's no way i could just sit down and work on it. i just worked on a lil bit here, and a lil bit there. so it wasnt near as bad.

There is another of those in progress I understand. Apparently this other one has had its ears removed too. ;)

well, its a kinda back and forth topic. you have a better up-top powerband, but down low the 3400 mani flows better with its angled runners. the 3500 is like ports on the bottom of a box

I've got some nice spacers to stick under mine if I do decide to use it. But to use it I'm gonna need a cowl hood of some sort.

I'm torn, I definitely prefer the looks of the 3400 upper. And I'm not feeling let down with its current performance. I'm ready to hit the track in mid-late April and knock this time down some more.

So if i install my 3500 upper on the 3500 lower i need a cowl hood??Doesn't alxsmt have a stock hood with a 3500 top end??Yes im hoping for mid to low 14's with my Lsd and a few other little plans before the engine build.Do you still have a open diff kurt???What rpm do you launch??

You only need a cowl hood if you wanted to use phenolic spacers between the upper and lower.

I'm still open diff and will be for a while. But even with that and the huge brakes I'm thinking a low 14.7 or high 14.6 could be in the cards in full street trim.

Im sure you can get there without a problem. What a pain it is sanding all the little spots on this intake. But it will look pretty when it's finished.
