Already read that... lots say Magnecor is just blowing smoke to make their product sound good... Kinda hard to believe anyone these days which is why testing is the only way to find out for sure.
This is the opening statement to their website...
Unlike many web sites, this MAGNECOR Race Wires Technical Information Site contains actual useful information. Unfortunately, this site is quite large, and will require a lot of your valuable time should you decide to explore it in its entirety
Cocky much?
If these guys were so good and right I think we would see them more widely used in race applications, but I rarely see Magnecore anywhere... All of the reputable engine builders use wires made by Moroso.

Also the sale is near 0-Ohm, I guess I should have specified that since there is so much confusion. I want to see what their Ohms would be for our longest wire and going by what I've seen they are about 2-3 ohms a foot which would make ours 8.25ohms or so.
Double check your measurement and make sure thats not K ohms
Looks to be K ohms. It's just a little Radio Shack multi meter.

Ok, that makes more sense now.

I've seen the Magnecor wires in person before, and basing my opinion only on factual things I've seen in person - they are a very quality product.
Not that this is a plus - just a reference point: the sleeving and shielding on them is totally top notch. A lot of plug wire monitors that measure rpm like on a dyno, or certain electrical testing machines - can't pick up the rpm through a Magnecor wire.
I think they aren't more widely used just because they aren't out there throwing it in everyone's face. The bux aren't spent on advertising, they're spent on producing a quality product.

for comparison, Monster cables LOOK decent, but are literally about as good as a metal coat hanger (tested)
looks aren't everything in electronics

true that $140 hmdi cable is no better than the one you can get for $5 on amazon.
i think if there was some testing done by a 3rd party it would clear a lot of this up and i'm not talking about the testing done by the place that sells the wires. maybe everyone can test what they have and then we can put together all the results in one sheet.
stock
accel
msd
and what ever other brands are out there that people on here may have. not saying everyone has to go out and buy new stuff just test what you have.

The biggest test though would be spark power... we can't all just go off resistance since that may not be the whole story.

yeah but even measuring that not every coil would be putting out the same level of power. we would have to find some way to do it all on one car. i also got the msd coils still kicking around the garage so we could test those.
i have one of those spark tester things. you know the little gadget that looks like a spark plug but you just clip it to the engine.
well if you ever get bored and want to do some testing let me know. between the two of us we got accel and msd and probably stock wires covered.

Let Jon borrow it and bring it to BFest.
