Going by my info, No for the non VVT 3500... it's a different block with a shorter stroke and everything... The VVT 3500 is an underbored and under stroked VVT 3900 though.

Hmmm. For some reason I always had the thought that the 3500 and 3900 crank was the same. Probably just a myth, I havent researched it in a few years

Could we not use comp and sensors from say a g6 in our cars with a 3900?

Well yes you can, but you will probably also need much more than that... anything is possible if you have the time and money.
