Does it really matter if I knew or not? (I didn't and it's irrelevant for GM's anyway) I'm sure those other two cars have the same guts to make it a 284, but is the case the same, doubtful, is the bell housing the same, highly unlikely... So props to you SGR for knowing where to get 284 internals from a couple oddball, never going to see one in a yard cars...

I found a few in my ventures but they were all autos. I sold the grills and that about it. If it was the really rare hatch version then I'd be drooling but its just a dressed up base...sorta like the 95-96 Z26's...I know because thats what I have. I think

The TC's with the 284 were only made for 2 years (90-91) and they only made 500 of them. They were mated to a turbocharged 2.2 Inline 4 with a 16 valve cosworth head. Yep, I cheated and used google!

I haven't seen a Corsica hatch in years, but I do remember them!

Sorry you cheated but I've come across a few *cough *cough versions of the 2.2 turbo sunbirds in my ventures...might even sold a shifter or 2 from 'em with the flip up headlights??? yeah I've found a few

You mean 2.0 or 1.8 turbo sunbirds, cough cough, lol! A couple friends of mine had them a few years back. Also a local guy I know is selling a 2.0 turbo 88 Grand Am SE 5 speed! My 88 GA in my sig had all the SE parts swapped to it of of a turbo GA as well.

I had a vega with a Cosworth. Might be why I love Quads. But I also had a hatchback Corsica. Thing was a pile.
