Can i put a bypass on a 3.1 for the ac

I can deal with the heat and everything but when it rains and I have to have the defrost on high and have the windows cracked just to keep the windshield from fogging over....well thats when I wish my AC worked. Yeah defrost works without it because the fan blows air across the windshield but it is far from efficient. Stupid S10 (im jk i love both my vehicles) has the same problem.
