Don't forget Pat's Turbo Quad in Chicago too. It has a lot of shiny goodies.
The super fun factor would increase with a limited slip. I've been doing some burnouts lately, and have likely discovered a much better launch method at the track - so I'm dying to get one more shot in this year. I think it'd be 14.7s or better.
I don't even know if I posted about the fubar'd attempt to go drag race with the v6z24 bash... water pump started leaking in the staging lanes, got lucky enough to get 1 pass in where I busted my ghetto exhaust cleaning my tires off, and then bogged the launch huge. 2.33 60', 15.12 @ 91.... the one and only pass. FTL I'm dying for another run this year.

I hope to have my final times of the year after NE weekend... But I was hoping to use my spring rubbers but found out they are too small, so now I'm not sure what I'll use to keep the ass in the air.

What's your new launch technique if I may ask? I've played with mine just a little bit on the street and it seems better with the new braided slave line. I can snap the clutch engaged at low throttle and it lunges forward and then roll into the throttle.

It seems like the car likes wheel spin, so I've been launching it like a GTZ. Get the revs up and give it a quick slip, but not a dump. 3k has proven brutal on the street. Slip it and let the revs fall off a bit, then full throttle once the clutch has fully engaged.
Honest to goodness, I hadn't dumped the clutch and smoked the tires since the car had been a 5 speed until like a month ago. That shed a lot of light on the full spectrum of launching it.

I can't dump the clutch on my 5-speed... it will just stall... LOL, that will prove very interesting at epping in a week... I've never launched an AWD car, let alone a 5-speed... this could be bad!

I love the smell of burning clutch in the morning! LOL I've been there, launching my 300+hp AWD 90 Talon with a 6 puck and a fidanza took some practice!

I may have the HP now, but remember it is only an OEM clutch, I did not put in a HD one since I didn't want to deal with the headaches of those in my Daily car and since the OEM one will hold the power up to stage two as long as your not dumping it at 4k LOL

I dumped 7-8 times on the stock clutch a month after I got the car, and it lasted 45-50K after that even. I could have gotten more mileage out of it if I really wanted to; it was only slipping in 5th when it was cold out.
