Impala's are comfy cars. I traded my 01 Impala on the Tahoe the only thing I miss is the 25-30mpg.
Does that style have the horrid wind noise/turbulance when you have the back windows rolled down? that was probably the worse thing about mine.

I've never experienced that noise on my car or the '06 police cruiser I used to drive. I did however have to deal with it in the '02 Impala police cruiser lol.

Those sound nice! Ive seen a few kick it down as they go by my place.
why the hell did they put a 5.3 in those?! My 5400# truck has a 5.3 thats nuts.

If you remove the rear resonators/mufflers they sound real nice.

It definately has power, I just wish the transmission wasn't so damn weak. I always take off easy and never floor it below 30mph. It does feel weird looking under the hood and realizing the motor is the same as my mother's Yukon.
I'm going to leave the exhaust stock for now, it has a nice mellow rumble as it is. I'm going to check into installing a transmission cooler for now and maybe tinted windows. That should be it for now.

maby get on the forums and see what you can do to increase longevity. I was surprised at what people do to 4l60s like the one in my tahoe. shift sevos, increased psi, programmers, trans coolers
