I was vocal about it? No. I introduced myself and was questioned repeatedly about it because I stated that I didn't want to buy bearings.
Unlock my thread and I can explain myself.

Well.... The bad news is...
I'm typing this from the side of the road.
Good news is...
My alternator seems to be spinning freely.

Quick question. What's the best bracket to remove to get the belt in easy?

I just swapped mine out for one from advance with a life time warranty.
The one that was in there was new from napa but always sounded weird.
Im going to have a place local rebuild that one for 50bux because they go so quickly.lol Good luck=)

You have to remove the left upper mount. (has 3 bolts on the engine side and 2 on the mount).
I assume the belt died because of the alternator? Check your tensioner too, to be sure its working properly.

It was the tensioner pulley! Lucky day for me! This has been a PITA, but $50 bucks it's better than $100.

i have yet to need to do the belt on my beretta, but i did it on a 3400 grand am and was able to lift the motor slightly with a jack and block of wood on the pan, and undo the upper motor mount and sneak the belt through.

I had to remove the top part of the motor mount and a bracket going to the alternator... I can't believe how easy the tensioner was and then what a pain the BELT was...
