The 4 speed manual was standard, and the 3 speed auto was optional, but it's hard to say which trans was more rare without production numbers of each I guess.

Here's a couple more non-GM rarities from the other yard we went to yesterday!

1973 AMC Gremlin V with the 4.2 Inline 6 and 4 speed manual and the LEVI's Denim interior! OH YAAAA! lol

For the 1973 model year. Optional was a Levi's interior trim package, which included spun nylon upholstery made to look like denim (fire safety regulations prohibited the use of real cotton denim). Details included removable map pockets, burnished copper denim rivets, and red Levi's logo tabs. The X package received a new tape-striping pattern that kicked up over the Gremlin's rear wheel flares.

The TC became available in late 1989 and 7,300 examples were manufactured in Milan, Italy, by the time production ended in 1991. This one was the 3.0 V6 4 speed automatic version!

Most were automatic. Every year was available with Auto...but not 4spd manual. I think you could only get m/t 83-85. If I can remember the source i will track down the #'s. I got this information from reading about them over the years. All of Tyre's donor car's were also automatic.

Did you look at the AMC car behind the Gremlin. I believe its an Eagle SX4 judging by the hood it being a coupe. Those are kinda rare too...very cool 4x4 car(NOT AWD)

Pictures from the same day.

In addition to the Corsica hatch at Gibsons (which is almost perfect in condition), there was another at Wally's.

Also X-11's were available from 80-85, but the Notchback version with the X-11 performance Package were only available in 83-84!

It was actually an AMC Spirit 2WD version, no spoiler, and it didn't have fender flares.

We also saw this awesome 1979 AMC Spirit AMX 304 V8 4 speed for sale right down the road from the Salvage yard!!! SWEEEET! It's 1 of ,2,902, that's including the 6 cylinder version too.

The 1979 AMX was AMC's 304 cu in (5.0 L) V8 capable of doing the quarter mile in 13.4 seconds!!!

I'm a bit of an AMC junkie! I've owned a couple, and a few of my relatives worked at the plant in Kenosha, WI!
