FALSE ALARM.
I took both the grills out today and low and behold they are the exact same size! I was wondering if the photo was an optical illusion of sorts, but it seemed so definitive that I didn't even question it.
Oh well... I'm a jackass. The only redeeming factor is that you all fell for it too!
