I love it, Ron! I dunno if it would seem right to paint it, it's got so much character right now =). Hah nah it would look good to me painted or as is. You've come a long way, keep it up! Nice work on the pictures too lol, did you study the angles to get them so close?

Hope to see you at a Bfest again some year. I'll try to make Bfest West, but it isn't likely. It would be lots of fun though!

Thanks!!! I did study the angles to get in nearly the same position, same angle, even getting the tires turned the same amount. The only thing i was having trouble with was the exposure - the old pics were taken with an actual camera...the new ones were taken with my iphone.

Paint is definitely in the future but it is at the bottom of my list as i agree with you that the worn out paint is part of the character but i am getting tired of the peel and the trunk lid, bumpers are actually red and its peeking through in places.

Nah, I think it would look sweet if you painted it... or even just flat spray bombed the whole thing flat black. Gonna keep the eggcrate grille or go solid when you paint it?

Do anything to the interior?

Flat black for sure...eggcrate grille stays. The only thing that i have done with the interior is put on REALLY nice door panels and installed the red z front seats...still looking for the z rear seats to finish it off.

flat black is not bad to do but it takes time if you spray bomb it. i did my jeep that way and it was pain but it was also red. it was paid for and the paint was goin on it. so i figured what the hell. plastidipped the wheels too. muredered out!

if the original color is the same then its a cinch. just a pain in the ass to get even. cleaning satin/matte paint is easy too. i rarely used soap, just rinsed it off.

Fresh flat black looks awesome! But it doesn't last... We laid PPG DP90 on my old man's Impala with a paint gun and it still didn't hold up for more than a year. As much as I love the look, I wouldn't recommend it.

Plan is a base coat/clear coat system with a satin clear.

Woody, would you say that only matte black doesn't last... or do you think that matte white would also go to hell after a year or so??
