Ill take the headlight wiring harness if you do decide to part it out. Also the foglights if Quad4Z26 doesnt take them.

Yes.... Use a crapalier, they're lighter anyway!

I know a lot of people who after seeing my gtz, go on about how much they'd like to find a nice one to have...

It's your car but as the Pres of the GTZ preservation society, I urge you to reconsider trashing a perfectly good GTZ! ; )

How do you even know its "perfectly good" your judging that off of 4 craigslist thumbnails... I'm sure Ryan will be able to determine which is the best to turn into his rally car for the necessary repairs needed.

Whats your opinion on Mike Pride's SCCA car? Thats a quad and gets beat on A LOT!

I have a soft spot for Mike's GTZ. And I know he had to go to great lengths to get it to pass a SCCA Tech inspection. I couldn't get it to pass tech at Bandimere for NHRA (straight line for 16 - 17 seconds) inspection.

I told the seller I was going to come and get it and tow rope it home and he replied:
"I don't think you're gonna be able to tow rope it. Your best bet is going to be to tow truck it. You might wanna come and take a look and see what you think is possible. I don't think the front brakes work."

Seems to be one of those the more we talk the more comes out type scenarios... And with that said the scale tips to the "parting out" side just a bit more.

... If it was in decent shape to begin with... If it's a rust bucket then more power to him. I jus hate the idea of a car that is perfectly saveable being parted out or used for a destructive purpose...

i agree with both sides here, i have a rust free 91 gtz, to bad its a v6, but its completly rust free and from 2001 to 2010 it only seen 30,000 miles. i also need that dash ryan if its not f'd up. i'll pay for the dash, your time, and shipping.

I think I'm going to go check it out today. Remember people, this is/was someone else's project car. We all know how stepping into someone else's project can be. And please, you all know that I am not a Beretta destroyer.

Okay, so this car is crap. I pulled up to have a look at it, looked at it and left. It is obvious just from the way it is sitting in its current state that it has been someone's lame project car for a bit, and has been neglected since. All 4 tires were flat, one of them is the spare tire. I emailed the guy and told him that it is just too rough for me. But I am interested in the seats and if he ever hits the point of "Just get it out of my driveway", that I would give him $300 for it. Sorry folks! But next time I go yarding I will look for the items that you all mentioned.
