its called a fuel damper... I've seen those go bad on nissans. it works similar to house plumbing to prevent water hammer noise you get when you turn on the water and hear pipes banging. works the same for fuel lines.

Far out. I fail to see the point.....never heard any banging of fuel lines.

I just changed my FPR 2 days ago and it was quite the job. Deepest i have dug into the engine myself anyway. Hen mine failed it started dumping fuel out of the air intake via the vacuum line from the FPR to the TB.

I thought that was prevented with the pulsator since that also absorbs each pressure spike from the injector banks from closing.
