I hope you made a typo sgr.... 215/60/16 is a 26.2" tire when our stock size is 24.9

215/50/16 would be the right size if your going for slightly wider, but not 225 wide.

Not sure why you think my plate is generic Cliff but to answer your question, because I like it and think it is fitting for the era of the car.

Not a typo on the tire size Jon.

Thanks for the company fellas. Pics tonight.

What's wrong with 225/50/16's? It would be 7% too slow.
A 215/50/16 would be 9% too fast. Oops that is vs my 205/60/15's. Sorry looking to get some 16's.
What is better, too fast or too slow?

I actually wasn't trying to go wider or narrower. I just happened to have the set laying around and it's in good shape with good tread life. They're about 3/4 of an inch taller and a 1/4 narrower than stock.

Slower or faster matters not MPB. That's just speedo differences. I don't care about that.

Cool, nor do I. I'm looking to find some 16's because I can't get anything worth crap in tires for 15"s here without having to order some.

Well nothing crazy, just close to what I have.

It's a little more than just speedo differences... it has alot to do with gearing as well... and if you haven't checked it yet the 25" diameter tire is very close to the spring perch already and going to a 26" thats a 1/2 gain in size closer to that spring perch hopefully for your sake it clears but I wouldn't have gone with such a large tire. I'm kicking myself for using a 25" tire for my DR tire I actually wish I had gone smaller for some more gear advantage.

MPB
Factory Beretta 16" tire size is 205/55/16

Ok, so made my minor adjustments to the upper filler today and gave the Quasar (to the best of my knowledge and from what it appears) her first "hard shell" hand wax in a loooonnngg time. Meguiars ftw. Came out B-E-A-U-tifully if I don't say so myself. :D New fillers installed and my "generic" (hehe, someone said that somewhere.... :P ) but , imho , cool Heartbeat of America plate. You can also see the directional tires I put on in the pics. Enjoy, comment, hate, love, despise, worship. It's all good. I'm happy all the same. :P

The front spoiler still looks like Bubba Gump though. I'm sure you'll be taking care of that.

Glad you enjoyed the work fellas. As to the front end, as soon as I can get my body guy to it. That takes some time somtimes. I also still need a good front bumper cover.

Fillers look great, still a little gap on the one side tho. Are those the 215/60's? That fender, bumper and hood need some serious attention. Looks good tho man, and I'm sure it'll only get better.

Nice fillers! Watch out I heard that wax dries out the plastic. A good plastic polish works too.

I hear ya 3X00. As of now I'm running 205/60/15's. Looks like a 215/50/16 would be a little smaller. But because I have a new FDR and I want more from it,205/50/16 could be my best bet. Though I'm going from 24.7 to 24.1 .
