Yeah... the hood bumpers and two bottom grille brackets are items buried in a box somewhere. I remember saving them from the Z... but havent found them yet. You might not be able to tell from the pic, but I also need the bottom rear window trim piece, which is different than a 95. Tonight I also plan to clean up the fog light brackets and put them in, even though they wont have any juice yet. I'm waiting on a Z headlight harness from Brendan. I also called my tint guy last night but didnt get any answer, so I'll have to try again tonight. I also plan on installing my stock headlights with the body-color headlight covers to see how it looks.

Too much gray. I already think its too solid of a color for some reason... Maybe its just the color that it is it makes it look like there is a lot there... I don't know.

I hated my car with the solid front grill, thats why I put the Egg crate on... Never mind if I were to put body matching headlight covers... In my mind i think the grill is there to separate the whole thing, and not just blend right in.

And I cant stand a Z-car with an eggcrate. Everybody has different taste. I'll probably end up with regular black headlight covers when all is said and done. I do like the smooth all-gray look though. Fat stripes keep calling my name too. I can play around with this little stuff for a while.

Cut some black construction paper or a plastic garbage bag and lay it on your hood and take a pic! :p

I just received the last of my stuff from Softtrim Concepts moments ago. It looks awesome! I had him make me sun visors and a shift boot as well as the folding seatback fixes. I can't wait to get them all installed. The shifter boot may not work since it's bulky foam-backed material, but I can deal with that if so be it.

Tint will be done on Tuesday. Buffing out the paint will be done either same day or Wednesday. I have my wideband o2 gauge and my ALDL cable is on the way. Tiff's laptop is ready to rock & roll and I downloaded TunerProRT so I can datalog and see whatt's up. It seems to be burning a lot more gas that it should be, and I have some surging idle problems from time to time.

Tonight I got nothing done, because I was working on my dad's POS Impala to get it out of the garage and babysitting the crazy puppy. Hopefully I can get mine in tomorrow to install the wideband o2 & gauge. Then it's easy to set up the data logger once the cable comes in.

I did get pics of the headlight covers and my new stuff, but that's about it.

Had Tiff with me to get a couple videos and finally got a pic of the LED 3rd brake light.



The videos isn't great because I still have less than 100 miles on the clutch, but it sounds decent. I got it rolling in 1st and then floored it. Slight tire squeal but it took off quick. I wondered briefly if the clutch slipped at all, but I think I'm just used to 4t60 gearing and 1st is gone a lot quicker with the 5spd. It shouldnt have chirped the tires if the clutch slipped. What do you think?

Overall the car is pretty loud. Just going from auto to 5spd seemed to make it a lot louder. Since it's a daily driver, I'm kinda sorta thinking about quieting it down a bit. I got pulled over enough with the 95, even without the 5spd drone.

I still vote rally stripes, the single looks gay, and the headlight covers look odd like that.

now you know the other reason why i had that other muffler on there. after NE i put the flowmaster back on till i could fix the crappy muffler to go back on and well the flow is prob one step below open exhaust.
it sounded awesome at idle and when you got on it but i would be getting tickets left and right. my insurance just dropped 500 bucks this year and i would like to keep it that way.

Installed my fog lights & rear swaybar today. Also got a pic of the shifter boot that I dont really like, and did a mockup of my [shitty] door panel job and decided to go with black instead of the gray I was originally planning on. Now I need to source some more black for the headliner. I figured out a good spot for my A/F gauge and got my ALDL cable, so I just need to fabricate a custom bung and sort out the datalogging particulars. I also checked my plugs and they dont look like they are rich.

It's louder because of the headers... And damn that intake is loud... Reminds me when I had a small TB on mine.

I started thinking about your datalogging issue with your wideband when I got off the phone with you on saturday...

In my mind that gauge is useless unless you can get that log to show upon your data log with RPM, and all that jazz.

I can't remember what others said on bstuff because I didn't read that whole "Loosenut is the best" whore session... BUT I've heard of some using the EGR circuit to log the 0-5v range. I'm not sure if you had to keep the EGR or not, but I did see others say the AC circuit, or purge circuit... Only issue with all of these options is if you want AC (being a daily driver) you can't do that, and if you need to pass emissions you may need the EGR and purge setup... But I think you may be able to squeak by with the purge removed, as long as you kill the code.

So that circuit may be your best bet.

I've never noticed our plugs to ever show richness though... since the ECM throttles the fuel back to 14.7 or less when cruising... they are lean burn motors by nature, so you would have to run it FULL out a few times in a row without allowing it to idle to be able to get a WOT richness reading on the plugs.

You don't need to log the wideband all the time.. So if you have an A/C pressure sensor, just make sure the A/C is off while you are logging, then when everything is said and done disconnect the wideband and plug the sensor back in.
