They are removable and replaceable, but they are pressed in. The Driveshaft Shop INC. makes aftermarket 1 piece driveshafts for 240's with the 4 bolt flange included, and they might sell you that piece separately. Otherwise, you can have your old u-joint pressed out of the flange, and have it modified to accept the normal style u-joints that are secured with the spring clip.

Yeah that's it. I'm just taking my camaro shaft and my Nissan shaft to the shop and telling them to make this work

Barry, Measure the distance you need to cover plus and minus too since some say to find one that fits then put your motor in... and then let Brett go look for a shaft of that length with the GM output on the front and then find a conversion U-Joint that works with that, since we have no idea what we are talking about. I highly doubt he'll find a working combo.

I didn't say "we", I said "you", don't twist my words. You bawked at the idea of a conversion u-joint for no reason, that was rude. I was simply providing an option of buying a $30 u-joint instead of a $200-$300 custom shaft. There may not be an OE GM shaft that's the right length for the application, but there could be... Nuff said.

So you want to make it an official insult to a member and not just a general statement?
There is no point in insulting someone and questioning that persons knowledge if the avenue you suggested may not even exist for the application. If you knew a GM to Nissan U-joint existed then maybe that would be different but you didn't even list or show that was a choice.

FYI, that is only an insult if you think you know everything...
Sorry, I can't measure parts hundreds of miles away to determine that... I was offering up an option and a possibility, I was unaware I had to do the subsequent work for him.
Barry, do whatever you want, I'll go be helpful elsewhere.

Made a motor mount. Its a stock 240 mount on the subframe, then custom up to the 3500, mounting on the A/C compressor bosses.
Still need to do the passenger one and decide if I want to get aftermarket 240 mounts or just use hockey pucks.

Do you have a link? I forget what your SN is over there...
I'm thinking about using a set of the fronts for air ride.
