Sometimes you just need a break. I know how hard it is to get things done in your free time. My girlfriend comes over on the weekends and that is my only time for working on the car. Give and take, that's all you can do. You get alot more done than I do, don't beat yourself up too much. You can take that both ways, you can't work very well with a hangover. ÂÂÂ

I know, but I got to get this car done.
I started working on her today at 2am and stopped at 7:30am. I got a bigger list on things to do. Took the spings off and found out I have a broken left side. Oh well. I forgot to bring my camera so no pics. Cleaned the parts room up and took the parts out of the boxes and that really opened up the room. Then I went inside the car. I had 6 unknown plugs and I got 3 figured out. I had to pull myself out of the car but I wanted to stay to work on it. I have 2 other plugs that I want to check and make sure they are supposed to be connected. I woke up really late on thursday so I didnt get the rack and pin. Oh well I didnt have the lines off the old one for the core. I guess I like working in the cold . Oh man I put up the old springs to the new ones and wow the car is going to be low. I am getting close, I think. I can't wait till I start putting parts on.
OH this made me mad. Remember I needed that throttle cable and i got one. Well guess what. Its the wrong one. The part that goes into the throttle body is to big for the hole. I think I will be able to make it work but its just something else that I have to do. But I got to get to bed. I got work in 8 hours. I will try to have pics umm maybe monday night. And I hope to have the new springs on the struts. I also am taking my tranny crap to work and my boss guy is smart so maybe he can help me out.

Too bad you didn't write down all this, you could make a how to build a Beretta book. That sucks on the throttle cable. Man, I just want to tell you that I have Eibachs and GR2's on the Cav and it's like I'm driving a truck, so be ready for a rough ride. Good to hear that you are getting help on the tranny, I'm clueless when it comes to them. How much lower is it going to be? I have a 1.5 drop and I'm happy with it(any lower and I couldn't get a jack under it).

Damn I wondered about the springs but I heard its a good setup. I went to work this weekend and showed two other techs and they were thinking that it will work but that there is something missing. I am going to call the dealership and get a brake down on it. I think it will be a 1.5 drop but I have to look.
Another note: driving home from a family event and I started to smell coolant. I stopped Im low. Then my window starts to fog over BAD. Im thinking damn heater core. This will be the 3rd time. F O'Reillys parts! I hope and really dont think it is but maybe the cap. Tommrow Im going to the garage and looking at it and workin on both cars.
OH got my rack and pin. today so tommrow I got to give them the core.

Eibach/GR2 is the best setup we have for our cars now at this point. Other springs may drop it lower but ride harsher and may not handle any better. Eibach is progressive so it won't be too bad of a ride. I'm putting them on this weekend.

The 3rd core? Man, what's going on are they the cheap ones? The Cav has a 1.5, from the info you gave it sounds like it will be ok. I had low PSI in the tires and couldn't get the jack under it(had to air them up first, lol).
Hey Isacc, let us know how it comes out. I'm still thinking about putting them on my car.

I don't think they were the cheap ones.  But I need to look and see if its a hose or something stupid like most of my problems have been. ÂÂÂ
Heres a pic of my springs. The one on the right is the broken one.
Today/this morning I went out and started work on the car.  Well I hade to load up some other engine parts, the tranny, and the 2.2L so we can take it all to the junk yard.  Then I started to work on the front top engine mount and starting looking on how I was going to make it a strong mount.
I just drilled holes and stuck bolts in.  That helped it out a lot but will need more work.
As you can see I don't have anything for the top mount bolt to go in. So that needs made.
Also pulled the exhaust:
Then I pulled the brake booster and fixed my throttle cable to work.  I also put the rack and pin together.  I then went into the car and figured out more plugs and found out I need to do more wiring to get features.  While I was doing that I looked in my trunk and forgot that I had a somewhat good system back there.  I think to get the car started the inside is done.
Oh but I forgot all about how to mount the tranny!!  SO now thats another thing added to the tranny list.
I am starting to look at CV Shafts.
USE PICTURE FOR INFO:
Now if you look at that cv shaft notice how it is smooth and no boots and then it goes through that bracket. I want to have that setup. Now really do I NEED to have this setup. Or should I just get regular ones. Say if I stay with the regular ones then what year make model should I tell the napa guy. I dont know the year on the tranny. Should i be lookin at splice counts and length.
Here is some info I get:
Attributes:
Features & Benefits:100% Neoprene Boots For Excellent Ozone Resistance. Eliminates Cracking; A Leading Cause For Failure Of Cv Boots.
Features & Benefits:Splines Chased 100%. Guarantees Proper Installation Of Axle Into Mating Hub And Transmission Eliminating Installation Hassle.
Features & Benefits:Threads Chased 100%. Guarantees Proper Installation Of Axle Nut Eliminating Installation Hassle.
Product Features:Compressed Measurements Used To Determine Length.
Compressed Length:20 7/8" To 21 3/16" [5]
Spline Count of Inner Joint:34
Spline Count of Outer Joint:33
ANy info will help.

Is there any way to take the shaft tube off and check? I got to back you up on counting, it's the only way to be sure. With that said, this is all new to me also. Is that info for new or remanufactured? Cliff had bad luck with reman. On the engine mount, I can try to take a pic of the one on my car(it's the same). I'm not sure how it will come out, the engine and everything is in the way. Just tell me if you could use it,I'll do it and have it up Thursday after 6PM.

That picture is from a mini van I know that but I have no idea. Im thinking I don't need that setup. That info is from a reman. I can't find any new ones. I think I messed up on the engine mount! I was lookin at my 95 engine mount and I notice that the coolant that runs to across the front of the engine is more to the front. On my project car its like on top of the mount. I need to do some major check overs. I'll be able to explain more later. I guess Ill take a look at the picture. It can't hurt.
Mount:
This is from the project.
This is from the 95:

What was I thinking! I know you have a 95 that is the same as mine! Your engine looks much cleaner than mine. Ok, got some, but I'm now out of mem on the card.

Dang, got to resize these things before I post. I have more if you want to look at them, at

Just pan down past all the other stuff. All of my car photo's are there. If you have to get reman CV's be sure to clean them up first(I had one that had small metal chunks under the locking ring and wouldn't go in).
