Well If you didn't know I had some front case tranny problems. One of the rods were hitting the case and locking into reverse. It ends up I have to cut in. I did measurements on it today. Two times, But I am going to wait and do them again tomorrow. So I did some parts painting.
These are the first coat of primer.
here is the link for the case problem:

I'm still trying to figure out how you got the primer to stick to all that oil and crap.

Ok, so you cleaned it after you taped it up with painters tape? That I did not know. I would have used something like duct tape to seal it up and then clean it... Cheaper tape, and also less chance of it coming off during the cleaning process... then again I did use a power washer when I did mine

The tape came from work. Thanks work. So it was free. I wanted to power wash it off, but didnt have one handy. I did have some tape try to come off but i made it go back on. How many coats of base did you put on and did you do a clear?

I didnt do a primer/base/clear setup... All I did was powerwash the grease off and then sprayed the block black... and same with the oil pan I did that gray though... I used single stage engine spray paint. It is an engine, its not worth spraying with base and clear because it will get destroyed easily.

I do not. I have looked everywhere for it. I think I scrapped it not thinking about the ring.

I'll check my pile the next time I'm at the rents... I have yet to move that stuff to my garage yet, but I think I may have another ring somewhere.
