Yeah,

I know its not just magically going away....it's just that I don't have the time for this now. The car is my every day driver and for the next 3 weeks working 13-14 hour days 7 days a week....dont need this. Well, the car has 120,00 on it. I did a tune up on it about 6 weeks ago, plugs, wires, PVC, fuel filter, air filter, oil/filter, cleaned TB,replaced the ICA and cleaned port for it surged, all was good and ran fine and now? Well, as of now I have test the coil packs...good, test the ICM...good, did a test on the fuel pressure regulator for leak....good. Well, after looking at the car for what little time I have, I did fine the line from the PVC to the purge solenoid was off? may fix my 1441 evap system code. Thanks for all the input and helpful tips guys! Dont want to do it but, looks like its going to the shop......

2.2H8TA,
My car had the little surge but, not on every start up. I could go 6-10 weeks and it would not do it and when it did it was just for a few seconds and it would stop...RPM's never went up and car die on mine. I replaced the ICA but, dont know if it fixed my porblem with what the car is doing now.

Sometimes a ICM will test out fine when it is cold and be bad when it's hot.

Money,
Yeah, true! Well, not wanting to take it to the shop I'm going to replace coilpacks, ICM, MAP,TBS, timing sensor, and hope one of the fix the problem.

Ok that may do it, I'd skip the TPS. There are two crank sensors and one cam. From what I've read the crank sensor in the back near the firewall is the main one. If that one goes out then the engine will not run at all. The one on the block that is behind the crank pulley controls SFI at idle to 1,500rpm. Cam sensor is for spark.
Well that is about all I know.

Well, after new coilpacks, ICM, MAP,TBS, timing sensor, no luck

No codes, car still has a miss, valve tap (on the back side) stalls, and loss of power....I feel it is inturnel. Thinking bent or stuck valve or pushrod......

Do you have a compression tester?

I know these engines tend to have lifters go bad.

Damn! Maybe your camshaft is damaged and about to break in half! <---That's really not as far-fetched as it sounds...

^^^ No, Im thinking a bent or stuck valve. And the PCM is trying to compensate for the dead cylinder....fuel and timing numbers all up/down on the scanner. Going to do a compression test next and find out .....sucks its the back side of the motor.

Well the cam is hollow and can twist on those motors and that certainly can cause a bent valve and then some if lobes are now in the wrong position! Just saying...
