^ This is all I got: "Nice" lol 8)

I actually already know what happens when the old 3 SPD auto in the Beretta shifts if the TCC solenoid is in lock up.
The transmission gets jerked a bit. Its kind of like having a manual transmission, being 500-1K RPM to high, then dropping the clutch out instead of doing it slow.

The only reason I know of this is I had an 88 Beretta with a shot auto transmission, then I went to the junk yard and found something like a 90-91 corsics 3 spd trans and replaced it with that instead.
What was different is the Corsica trans 3rd gear was a bit higher, and I believe 2nd was as well. And, it had 1, 2, 3 gear selection pressure sensors that should have been connected to the ECM to prevent the TCC from locking up unless it was in final gear.
Well, I never connected those wires because the 88 Beretta ECM did not have it and could not comprehend it.

The TCC on the 88 Beretta was designed to lock up at 30 MPH.
What kept happening was when I accelerated, the TCC would lock up in 2nd, then it would shift to 3rd. Sometimes this caused the TCC to unlock and relock, but it basically stayed locked in. So it would jerk as if someone dumped the clutch out.

I used to always tap the break just enough to trigger the switch if it had not yet shifted to 3rd so it would not lock up to soon and jerk the transmission all the time.
Anyways, thats history, the car is still being taken apart. (Thats why I thought of it at one point, because it seemed like it would work).
But I'm over that, although I found it as something fun I'd like to try. lol.

I'm actually thinking of buying one of those Auto transmission shift controllers, that have modifiable settings to the users liking.
It can keep the TCC locked in automatically (except when stopped or moving to slow, like 5 MPH, idk), and disengage it automatically when it shifts the transmission, or not use it, or use it like normal.
I've been trying to find one that can read the vehicles ECM data to best control the transmission.
I think there are ones with performance modes as well. Like economy, something that shifts early and keeps lower RPM's, Balance for moderate driving, and performance for peek power output at all times, or something like that. I'm still not sure though, I still have to look into these things more, but it would be nice to have something like that eventually.

Anyways... I don't want to hijack this thread off topic, I'm going to try and resist. lol :friends:

All you would have had to do was unplug the TCC.

It's pretty simple.

And BTW it IS programmable if you have a tuner.
