Okay, it appears we are close to agreement with the insurance company on settling. I've already replaced the car, and I will miss my Beretta dearly, but will probably move on.
I'm not interested in parting it out one piece at a time, but would consider selling it as is, it actually runs & drives pretty good. Let me know if you are interested and ball park what you would pay and we can try and put something together.
If you read the thread it was a one owner, 94.xxx mile 1990 GTZ. I changed the clutch (sport) & flywheel (lightened) and the rest is in pretty good shape.
e-mail me at Bruce4Adams(at)hotmail(dot)com
Thanks,
Bruce
And if I don't get back here before the forum moves, takes on new owners or whatever happens - you guys have been great. Keep the Beretta's alive!

That's good and bad news! You are going to move on? Does that mean that you won't get another Beretta? It's hard I know, I just started over again last year after my loss.

It's bad to read you're moving on, it's good to know things are working out for you with the insurance company.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I will always miss that Beretta, it was a great car, and I bought it at a very difficult point in my life - so it was more than just a car. (I won't go into the details) Plus, it never let me down, always started and ran great, and won his share of street races (not that I would ever participate in illegal activities) plus my son learned to drive on it. I don't know if just another Beretta would be the same.
My new daily driver is a Cadillac XLR, just a few years old, so I got a great deal on it. Yeah, kind of an odd jump, but I just love cars, and all of ours are special. Anyhow, I'll keep everyone posted.
I remember a few guys had expressed interest in picking mine up, so I still need to balance that out.

An XLR? Guess that is one way to move on. Another Beretta will not be the same, but it kinda helps you remember the good times.

You wouldn't believe how inexpensive they are used. I was looking at a Cobalt SS, picked up the XLR for only a few grand more. Got a real steal on it though. It's a fun car, but it's no Beretta GTZ.

No joke! You can get '04s for around 20 grand now. I think the '06 depreciated more than the lease cost!

It looks like I lost old PM's, I think it was Suzuki Ghost Rider was interested. I'm still not sure exactly where this will end up. We're close to an agreeable number, and I may just tell them I want the car also at that settlement. Still have to see. I think it's close, but I never expected it take 10 months to settle for being rear ended at a stop light.
I'll keep you guys posted.

I hope you get the car. My insurance wanted me to pay $500 for my car and (like you) the other guy was at fault. What kinda crazy crap is that?

I'm still trying to figure out how the spoiler wasn't touched. The rest of the car is f'ed up, but somehow the spoiler made it through the ordeal.
The rest of the car looks beautiful though.

I'm still interested Bruce. Keep me posted. I think my buddy who owns a body shop down the road can fix all her woes. I've discussed it at length with him and showed him the pics. He's confident. PM me when ready.

The Saint of Beretta's lives up to his name again. This is good news.

Hey, it's me, I'm still around. The new site looks cool but for some reason I had to re-register, yet it told me my old name was taken.
Anyhow, trial is set for Dec 29, 2009. I'll keep everyone posted.
