IsaacHayes has a LX5 TB so if he is still alive he's probably your best bet at finding out how to do it.
I really didn't see any gain in using one except for possibly finding one cheaper that the TCE but even that with the brackets and rigging needed to make it work I am not fond of it.

Yea I havent seen him on here for a long time, and yea money is tight around here so for now instead of running a little 56mm ill buy the adapter plate and hopefully someone on here, wicked says its easy to make but hasnt told me how. Sooo juat waiting on a reply lol.

I bent the 3100 throttle cable bracket, cut some of it off, welded part of a washer to it and drilled a hole. For the cruise, we used an electrical connector IIRC and an E-clip. I'll have to see if I can dig up some pictures.

so wicked if i sent you the bracket and everything would you do it for me? ill pay you seriously i will ill pay for shipping to get there and back, id rather have you do it since youve done it before, im not exactly the greatest mechanic nor welder in the world lol. please let me know if you would be willing to do this for me. also the downpipe ill be ordering soon just gotta get some money together for you.

well so far ive gotten the lx5 throttle body, my multec 2 injector clips, awaiting my email back from ben at wot-tech, gonna be ordering a lx5 throttle body adaptor and my competition ported 3100 uim with 65mm tb inlet.
now heres a question do i run 3500 uim gaskets or do i use 3100 uim gaskets?
another one, i heard the 3500 waterpump is better than the old 3100/3400 waterpump, idk if it was true so if anyone knows please let me know. i was told something about different fin setup.

Around 05 GM switched to a 5 or 6 blade stamped steel impeller instead of the finned cast units. I think its more of an issue of reduced weight and a stronger piece rather than better cooling.
For what its worth, any year of one you buy at a parts store these days will have the steel unit. That goes for one for an 87 2.8 even.

thanks kurt, i wasnt sure if the info was correct. imma be putting in a new waterpump into my motor so i wasnt sure which one to get basically. im going saturday to the jy, so if you can pm your phone number so i can send you pictures of the console lid.

question for jon, should i/ could i run a 85mm ls2 maf sensor would it make any difference i could get one for a really good price thats why im asking. i know a member with a grand am has one, i dont know if it makes any difference, maybe easier tuning. i have no idea. unless others know the answer???

ok. got a few questions and things im doing.
1. got the motor, awaiting some more money for the crank trigger and slinky's 3100 uim.
2. going to pull my old this weekend and solder in the ect wires to extend them and the multec 2 injector harnesses.
3. what else am i going to need to do?
crank trigger install, newly designed sucks but if it works than its whatever i suppose.
hopefuly polyurethane lower mount and upper insert, i want to run a polyurethane trans mount if i rig one up. i dont want the motor to move at all lol.
timing cover swap with gasket
uim swap with custom bracket, dusty will be pming you soon about the bracket
ill be porting my 3100 exhaust manifolds simply because i cant afford the ex manis from a 3400 plus the custom dp. i will be running my stock exhaust but with a cutout so i believe thatll help a little bit.
ill be running multec 2 injectors so jon will be calling/texting you shortly to get my ecm ghetto tuned i suppose i can say for the 3400 injectors, ill also be running 55psi fpr. stock fuel pump for this year.
this winter since ill be working ill be saving alot a wally 255, possibly headers, if not for sure 3400 ex. manis and 2 1/2" dp, maybe a cam, but for sure a paint job and semi-built trans, 2363 stall, 3.69's and a lsd ftw! i would like to spray the motor so maybe job if you woud be so kindly and tell me everything i need, id like to do a 100 shot if not a little more.
