Well that was not as hard as I thought it would be. It was a pain in the butt and my stupid Haynes manual seems to be missing torque specs on some things. The gasket had oil all over it. Looks like the whole thing was bad. It's now running much better and the idle is about as smooth as it can be.

And it's back to missing and double shifting. Shakes alot with the AC on.

Did you fix the oil leak? Those plug boots prob crapped out again if you didn't... Do you have any codes?

Oil leak is on a big list. No codes yet, sure it will throw the same one again.

ETS is on and the SES again. Code is PO420, again. Oil leak has not been fixed. Coolant leak has not been fixed. Right now all I want to do is get this misfire fixed. The cat is only two years old and I have a fear that it will be dead soon.
Going to Sea Foam it this weekend. There has got to be a ton of carbon build up. Also some vacuum leak checking will be done.
I'm going to scan this thing and sang as much data as I can. That will be posted here.
Spent some time looking around the Quad/twin cams forum with no luck.

is your vacuum modulator plugged in? it may be causing your trans and missfire issues if you have a big vac leak
I believe the po420 is a evap leak so it sounds like you still have a leak some where.

That is a good idea, but the trans is all computer controled. PO420 is a code for the cat. Thanks for the support though.

it has a 4t60e? vacuum modulator is on the front/top where the harness plugs into its a small canister with a single vacuum port that goes to the intake manifold.

LOL me too. I have looked at the trans and it has a huge pig tail coming out of where the vac mod would be(or close to where it would be).
