So you can justs swap the ECM into say a 94 and leave the harness alone, but change engine sensors/etc. What about the cluster issue, do you jsut swap a 96 cluster adn it works or is there more wires to mess with?
I don't care about blasted ABS/etc. My cruise is aftermarket anyways too.
I guess the only interest I have in the DHP is for boost. Can you modify the tables and put in a 2 bar MAP with this? I would think so but not positive.

How would you be able to use a 2 bar with a DHP? I know the 3800 guys are doing this, but I think they are also using the MAP for the GTP? Plus I think it is only for boost reference

Well, thats what Im wondering. If you can add tables above 1 bar so the stock ECM would then control fueling/etc for boost. If the answer is NO, then an aftermarket stand alone computer would be better....

I'm not an expert on this, but if you don't out flow the stock MAF on a 96 then the fuel should be spot on. The timing would need to be adjusted some, but that's no biggie.
If you do out flow the MAF then you will notice. The engine revs will continue to rise but air flow would not (pegged at max available value) and the engine would start to go lean. A good datalog would show all of this.

Interesting. I don't have much experience with MAF cars. I guess a good question is what RSM does to the ECM (if anything) with their supercharger kit. If they tune it and it rusn fine, then that sounds good...

For what I said before, the fuel pressure has to rise the same amount as the intake manifold pressure.

Right you'd still need a RRPR/FMU of course.

So exactly what do you do? Just put in the new computer and knock sensor/etc. I don't care about ABS.
So there's no wiring changes at all? You will need to put in a MAF though right...? But you don't need to swap any harnesses?

I'd get the pinout information between a 96 and 94 ECM from a Helm (GM) repair manual.

Yup, but just wondering from those that have done it, how much wiring chagnes are needed. A lot, a little, the whole thing, etc.

All i could find was
http://65.109.52.43/dealers.htm
They dont list beretta as an application, but I guess you could email DHP (I'm guessign that's their website) and ask them where to buy a powertuner for a 96 3100 beretta car...

Cool, I envy you! You can tweak a lot of stuff with it! Should be able to get every pony out of that 3400 if you can tune it correctly!!! And if you go boost, well you can put in bigger injectors, tone them down and idle, extend the MAP tables, put in a 2 bar, etc etc!!
