Yes Money the ol' 3400 runs pretty good. Still need a bit of exhaust work. I picked up a Stainless Braided Flex pipe and a small Turbo with oil cooler yesterday. Sometime this week or next I will start reworking the exhaust to accept the turbo. It looks a little restrictive. I will get piks of it later this week.

Thanks. I will get the TB cable you spoke of as well. At the time I couldnt see stressin the cable when the GA cable was doin ok. It is already time to replace it though.

Glad that it's running good. A turbo? Man, your going all out on this one and not screwing around. What are your thoughts on the throttle shaft swap? I think it's a good idea, but I do have a little fear about knocking the shaft out. You need some more pics on that site.

Money are you talking about the shaft that goes through the TB? I tought you was talkin about the 3.1 cable. Do you have a pik of his TB fix? Ya man. Turbo should make it a lil snotty. I will be working on the site later tonite. I have a bunch of yard work on the "Honey Do" list.

Yea the shaft. No I don't have any pics, I haven't done it to mine yet. I have this fear of screwing up the bearing. I may just get over it and do it anyway. It would save alot of work and possible trouble down the line. Hey, did you have to get another uppper radiator hose?

I think I used the GTZ hose and cut a little off each end. I will take a good pik of it today and look at the hoses I have left.
Who are all the 3400 turbo guys? I curious as to where they are getting oil for the turbo from. I think I read someplace they tapped oil pan.

Thanks wicked-irocz. I think this (yours) is the topic that got me started on the 3400 to begin with.

Ok I did it. The 3100 shaft is in the 3400 TB. I used a 8oz rubber mallet to knock the shaft out and a 10mm deep well to put the ring that holds the shaft back on. I'm not sure if the deep well is the right thing to use to press the ring on, but it was all that I had. If you do it, make sure the round end of the ring is down. I'd put it on the wrong way and had to use one from the 3100 TB. The ring is under the TPS and looks like part of the bearing. Be sure to look for it after the shaft is knocked out. When putting on the spring before the ring, be sure to get the tabs in the right spot. Then turn the shaft 360 and push the shaft in after that. There is going to be some shaft end play. Check that before you take it apart and knock the ring down to make it the same as before.

No this is not the GT35R. It is the cheaper version of it. No ball bearings but capable of up to 500hp.
All total with the intercooler I am lookin at around 650.00+ any exhaust work I need to do.
No Money. I drove it all summer on the ghetto cable. I will be pulling stuff apart today.

I understand, just read my post way back there and remember that the ring that goes under the TPS and holds the shaft in place goes round side down. I did it wrong the first time and there was too much end play. A normal hammer will smash the end of the shaft, so a rubber mallet is better, it does take longer though.
