Cool, now there are p/n for those 1994 mounts.
There is a lot of questions on the different jack shafts. I have seen those aluminum ones blow up. I have no opinion on whether the steel plate version or cast iron are better. Years ago i could not get my axles apart on my 1990 GTZ so i purchased a steel bracket and bearing from dealer. It was not much. I wonder how much the cast part is. It looks very similar to the Saab 900 one.

Glad your happy with the work and the dyno tune will help out, hell just the tune with the wideband will help it a lot.

So wait a second, what exactly is the problem with the original mid-shaft that was on this car?
My GTU has the same style and I was just gonna reuse it, I didn't see where it would be a problem? Is there something different on the 3400 block that cause you to have to need a different midshaft?
Robert this is an amazingly clean and sexy GT btw... Very nice looking car... Which mine looked that good...

The original midshaft was secured with a aluminum plate bent to shape, that aluminum plate was cracked, and so was the replacement one that someone had that he said would be strong enough, so SCD found the HD version from a J-body and I opted to use that after slight modifications to it.
He was already running that style with the 3400 with no issues, its the heavier one that needed some slight grinding to fit... I was just not fond of finding it cracked in his car and then a replacement one being cracked in the same spot... leads me to believe that with more power he will just do more damage so he needed something stronger there.
Here is a pic of where the crack was on the new bracket that he got.

I know that you got the ring problem figured out but i had the same problem and i found out that gm went to a different piston in the Chevy Equinox 3400 that is a 3.0 oil ring i ordered a set for a 2006 equinox and they worked fine. 2006 CHEVROLET EQUINOX 3.4L V6 : Engine : Piston Ring DNJ ENGINE COMPONENTS Part # PR3121 SET; 1.2x1.5x3.0

Changed the struts today.Brand new kyb,and did the 92+ brake upgrade up front.Powerslot rotors with hawk hps pads. The lastime i had my struts apart on the driverside.Jeff didn't make sure the strut bearing was all the way down.So it was moving around and making a clunking noise over bumps sometimes.Guess i figured it out jon.lol

I sure like it! The wheels look kick butt when they are just starting to get up to speed.
