LOL. Oh it rubs. With the sprint springs on the car with the 225/50/16 tires you can not even put your fingers between the tire and the fender its that low. Stupid...yes....But that is the way it is till I get Eibachs. LOL I spent enough money on this car this year.

It sits greats, love how it looks and handles like a dream! But...ya...the tires were being "spliced" by the rear fender lip.

I rub so bad with the neon brakes and 225's.

Did you use a legit roller to roll them or some other method?

FUK rolling... I had just got the car painted, so I CUT the inner fenders out a little... Followed it up with a coat of undercoating though. ;) Used a flapper wheel and never stayed in one spot for too long so it wouldn't burn the paint. I like the result much better than rolling and risking cracking the paint.

That interior is very brown... LOL

The body shop did the work before it was painted. It's all flush and smooth. The old seats were so worn out and faded. This cloth exactly matches the old cloth once we pulled back the seems and matched it up. This new cloth is an exact match believe it or not. Better dark then too light. Lol

Looking really good! You've come a long way in a hurry.

Barry, what's the offset on your wheels? Mine is 45. I've got Neon brackets sitting in my garage but I'm wondering if I should roll my lip before I install. Makes me a little nervous since I have new paint...

My offset is 40mm and as I said before I didn't roll, I trimmed using a flapper wheel... Much better solution for a freshly painted car. No chance at chipping the paint, and just go lightly so you don't burn it either.

But with 45mm you may not have to worry since a stock rim is 42, your already 3mm further in, and mine didn't touch much.

That means I have 5mm more clearance than you running a 225 (if the tire brands do measure the same). Visually it looks like I should have clearance. Did you take a measurement on how much the Neon swap widens the rear track?

No I didnt, But I could measure it for you.. just tell me where you want a reference point from. Since you also need to incorporate the thickness of the rotor vs just the drum.

Car looks great! What did you do to the motor itself? Any cam or anything? I have an 88GT that I plan on starting to do the same thing once I'm out of school(college that is). I had to rebuild it two years ago so its on its second motor with only about 7500 miles on it about 160k on the frame. But I put a comp cam in it with out chipping it so far runs good but I know my fuel ratio is way out of wack. Keep it up glad someone desided to get collector plates most people look at us like we drive old junk... well other then people like you with nice new paint!!!

Thanks!!! Ya...I had to get collector plates. I think I am the first one in the group to have them. People need to start respecting how old our cars are and how most of ours are in GREAT shape!

Due to the time restraints of getting all the work done before Bfest 2010 in Chicago, I didn't have much time. I wanted to do a lot of things to the engine, like a new cam, pistons, rockers and all that good stuff. For right now, I have the upper and lower intakes honed. Since I have the 2001 Impala 3400, I also have the bigger injectors. I have a cool air intake from Tranzgenic, (when Aaron was still around making them) and a new Spec stage 2+ clutch. With that being said, I have all new hoses, clamps, all the sensors, coil packs, water pump, power steering pump....basically everything that is supposed to be on the engine is brand new. Oh, I also removed the EGR and put on an EGR delete kit thingy from Wot-tech (Great people, company, and service).

In a few years, when this engine is worn in and tired, I plan to pull it all out and do what I want to it. Until then, just the basics.
