got some more pictures today, still having problems with the brakes, but heres some pics of the the cars current state, and some of the stuff ive managed to pick up for the car...

as i started to tear the leather crap off, and sheet metal flashing, and hundreds of self tappers later, i managed to find the dash was origanaly a black dash, now its just garbage...


the seats he put in, its going to be a pain to undo everything he did here, and the kick panels he painted black, im hoping i can either get the paint off of them, or manage to find replacement panels, im not having to good of luck though.


here you can see the rear sway bar, kyb shocks, and eibach springs all in one picture, theres some surface rust under it, probably from sitting in high grass, but nothing major..


heres the replacement dash i found in a 92 beretta, for those of you who dont know, 93- grey is different from 94+ grey, and makes it even harder to find a dash for us.

heres the engine, some of you may remember how it did look... pretty rough now, i just changed the oil, its already needing another one... oil is NASTY! i used mobile 5000 fully synthetic with a mobile oil filter...



and heres whats in front of the car, 2 transmissions, a spare engine, quad parts, cams, 2 sets of wheels, tires, bumper, and much more...

i just have no other place to store it, my other place is packed!

How much for that Quasar bumper cover?

got a vacume bleeder from a friend of mine, going to try that and see how well that works out, then im stumped.

okay, so i re-bled the brakes, and i know for sure they are bled and bled right, had a nice firm pedal, start it up, and it went to the floor again and you can hear the WOOOOSH as if all the air just blew out... it only does it that one time... i discovered theres a vacume line under the brake pedal under the dash, wth is this, where does it go, and can it be contributing to the problem?? please help me, lol.

I believe that vacuum line on the older cars runs to the cruise control.

so it would not effect my braking issue what so ever?? anyone have any ideas why i get a pedal when the car is off, but no pedal when i start the car???

When the car is off you have no assist... MANUAL brakes, it takes a lot of effort with the way the pedal is angled to get good braking force, hence why you said you had "no" brakes with the booster disconnected. When you run the car the booster is assisting the master and now you are applying MUCH more force to the braking system which could show weaknesses... Bottom line it sounds like your issue is with the hydraulic system somewhere since there would be no way to press the master cylinder in that far unless its leaking by somewhere, and the insides of a brake booster will now allow that much "extra" travel if the booster is bad.

Only sign of a bad booster is manual brake feel, very hard pedal and lots of effort needed to stop.

You have not gone through your whole hydraulic system yet so you cant rule anything out... you also used a JY master, I think its time to rebuild it and make sure it's right.

no, i didnt use a junkyard master cylinder, i bought a brand new master cylinder, so that rules that out, and that rules out the booster.... so now im lost...

There is a lot more to a brake system than just the master and booster... And sorry I did not realize you bought a brand new master, I thought it was a JY part.

How old are the pads and rear shoes? Have you tried swapping that stuff out yet? or double checking all the rubber lines to make sure they are not expanding when the brake is pressed?

Hydraulic issues can be a bitch to find. I would think if the hoses were bad you'd get a spongy pedal even without the car running, but the braided hoses are a good upgrade regardless...so I'd go ahead and do them to rule it out.

Yes but with the booster active your braking power is almost 10x what it is without it, so it can definitely exaggerate issues you wouldn't notice without the booster.
