Actually I feel bad for Mikey. This whole thing sucks. And 900 is more than fair guys, especially if it still is in movable condition. That kind of damage can be fixed, take it from me. I fixed mine, and it was totaled too. Too bad its in MD.
Ah well. Speedy should follow through and get it. 200 miles by tow truck isn't far, or if you have a friend with a truck, get a dolly and haul it that way. That is how Brandon brought me the base, I think it cost him like 50 or 75 bucks for the dolly rental.
And for you guys out there low balling and crying out for parts, shame on you guys. This thing should be rebuilt, not parted. The main structure will be solid, it was a rust free car as I recall and WELL worth being fixed.
Good luck Mikey, do what you feel best for you!

Can't just find replacement panels, what ever, and repaint the car? Seems the need to find Garnet front end parts will be a hard one to get done. Just part it out and move on. Sure it was a fab car, but sometimes in life one door closes so another can open!

This coming from a guy who wants to sell his Indy because he can't fine OEM Indy decals...
Either way the car sold and Mike lost interest in it after the accident.

All I was saying is that for some folks that have put a lot of work into a car to make it nice, like new in this case, some of those guys just can't see the car ever being back where it was. They will always know it was hit GOOD, not just a dented hood, and just simply rather move on and not rebuild. I have no idea what this guy was going to do at the onset of this mess for him. He just seemed to be on the fence as the days passed.
As for me, you know how I got my Indy. My son bought it, I threw in some of my own cash and fixed it up back to having all orig equip for him. He no longer wanted it after his buds teased him about it (Yellow car with pink decals), so we got him a truck and I took the Indy. It is a fun car, I have became a fan of the cars when I never used to be. But for me, to hold on to it and do a resto the decals were the key factor in the thought to keep or sell. Never found decals. I don't really LOVE the car so why put MAJOR money into a car you don't love, would YOU? So the lack of decals ended up being my "this is far as I will take this car" out.
The car has been sold and the party is from this community.
