Un-Boxed the 88 from being parked for winter.
Got some Z rims and new tires for the 96 last month, looking more like beretta now
And got a new sub box and custom fit it to sit in around the rear speakers, was a little too high but is now cut out and fits nice.

Turned past 4500 on the top end rebuild, admired her good looks and marveled at a Quad with over 160k on her and running like a champ and still got lots of snort and stomp to her!

Weld those control arms! Wow.
I stole the ICM from mine the other day to help a neighbor diagnose his 3.4 Camaro that runs like garbage. She's still sitting on the wheel dollies untouched since Oct...

Painted my headers again this time I did a MUCH better coating, way more than I put on last time, hopefully that holds this year. and I also drilled a hole and installed a drain plug in my trans pan as well as finished 90% of the trans assembly, Just need to install the pan and diff and put in the car.
I hope to complete all of that friday and have it running then or Sat AM so I can test drive it and clean it before going to a car show on Sunday.

Jon, you take your car apart ALOT.... but it has to be enjoyable having a nice big garage. and it looks like your making improvements not fixing broken stuff.
My car is on a truck headed north. crossing my fingers for it to be delivered today.

Yes I do, my hurtle is mostly the trans... I haven't touched the motor since I bought the house. I took it apart in the winter of 09 since it was still all stock bottom end parts and I decided to replace the lower bearings with clevite and also replace the cam bearings due to wear, As well as greatly improved upon my original port work I did as well as I started updating the trans, but ever since then It's just been trying to get the trans to work right and shift quick.
There are not many people who work on 60e's and the ones who do aren't so "open" about mods, so I need to pick here and there to get ideas on what to do to make it shift quicker and consistant... This I would say is my last year trying this trans if it doesn't work how I want then I'm swapping to a 65e where there is plenty of knowledge and proof it will run 12's or faster without much issue. I'm still sitting on a discontinued Raybestos Z-pak for third gear that I could use in this trans but I opted to save it for the 65e swap in the future... those are the packs designed for the GM Performance Racing division.
The garage was a determining factor on what house we purchased I got REALLY lucky with this one being a 2 1/2 bay OVERSIZED... gives me plenty of room in front of a vehicle to work as well as the 1/2 bay to the side for my bench and other stuff.
