Stock these cars are silent... so I did the "Hogzaust" mod to it and now it sounds better, basically shim the two exhaust flanges with washers so they dont seal anymore... LOL That will hold me over till I can afford to modify the exhaust. I will probably do custom since I have the ability to weld it all, systems are wicked expensive. Only thing I may spend the money on is a set of up and down pipes, then do the rest myself.
And yes I awoke to a car covered in pollen bombs this AM... Damn oak tree.
Also once I get my camera back I'll take better pics.

your not alone mine looks like crap now. dust city.
yeah the up and down pipes are the only thing id spend the coin on. the rest is fairly simple to fabricate on your own.

WRX... YUCK... park bench anyone?
Put it this way, I can drive to work with Leather and Luxury and then put my foot to the floor and have the same power as the WRX if I choose... obviously I would need some WRX specific parts, but in the end I would much rather have the car that was less apt to have an abusive life due to its "sports" designation and something that is a little less in the cop attention area.
Trust me I went back and forth on what I wanted and every time I thought of a WRX I was just not impressed by the wing, or the hood scoop, And the fact that it SCREAMS pull me over.
Right now Geoff is getting 285/340 to the WHEELS! and that's with a up pipe, down pipe, cat back, rough tune by a local and an intake... I think that's all he's done. Talk about a sleeper.
And don't worry the Beretta will not loose out on attention... Boost is fun, but lope is just as cool. And Eric I don't see a 13.511 slip in your hand... Who's car is slow?
I'm actually waiting to hear back from PDQ today about shipment and payment. They just pulled my converter apart friday cleaned it and replaced all the bearings and told me with what I've listed to them it should carry a 3200 stall speed... I also got all my clutch parts on Friday so I hope to be starting to rebuild the trans this week, case and all the parts are cleaned out and ready to go.

Gerff also upped the boost PSI did he not? And I thought he had a different BOV and some other turbo-related stuff that I don't pay much attention to...

Gerff's mod list for the 2.5 putting 285/340 at the wheels...
Invidia up-pipe
Invidia downpipe
Borla catback
Cobb intake/box
GFB BOV set to 50/50
Dyno and road tuned to 24 psi max (it peaks at 24psi around 3600 rpms and tapers off after that)
Stock VF40 turbo
I've got a front mount to put on it since the stock top mount cracked. Damn plastic.
Car looks sharp Jon! I loved these in black when they came out... but after having a couple of dark blue cars, I decided for the silver lol.
Switching between the Z26 and the GT makes the Z26 feel like a slug... time for more power out of that thing...

I loved my black one, but this gray Beretta never shows dirt. It's awesome!

Call me stupid Geoff but how did you up the boost level? I'm still reading as much as I can find online. I'm assuming it has something to do with the $400 BOV you've put on there, plus some other things.
I still need to run through this maintenance wise first though... No need to go crazy and blow it. It already is significatly faster than what I was used to... lol

The boost on this engine is controlled via an EBC instead of a manual one (I actually have a 3 port upgraded one from RPA that holds boost levels better than the stock one). You have to set it via a tune/flash. And if you think I spent $400 on that BOV, you're nuts. Used parts FTW.
Get the Subaru coolant, it's cool. It looks like lime green jello. Don't forget the additive; they are around $25 from the dealership for both.

OTS maps aren't the best... knowing Jon, he'll want the ability to tune himself so I don't think an AP would be a wise investment for him.
