Now we are at the point of things have gone south.  Days had gone by, i went on spring break and come back(though I am not completely sure of the date, either way quite a few days had past since they left)  Remember no ill words were said over my spring break.   They werent fired as they had once claimed.   They were spose to come back and finish.  Then I received the BILL Cack has posted here more then once.  A- That bill was for a finished swap they had not yet finished B-I had the money to pay every penny C- I had two issues that I asked about...1 was the 20 shift plate, since that was the first time I saw the price, 2 was the tranny at 250.      The two of them have already admitted that the extra money on the tranny would cover their expenses.   The bill was 200 higher then I had thought on the cheaper tranny.  I had a lot more then 200 in cash, it wasnt the money.   I had said it was how they tried getting it.  Also this is like my 2nd discussion ever with Cack, and he says he is doing the talking for Steph since she is nagging him to do so and getting him fired up.   They still werent fired or anything.   But Cack starts talking about repossing things he already put on the car, it went to pettyville.   Yes I mentioned taking the $30 bit off the bill since I had already said I would never use it you take it.   So when the bill was 200 higher, I said well take that off.   he was being petty, so I came back with pettiness.  Pay attention to the XX's.

OK moral of the story.  Pages back cack had said he didnt blame me for the struts, look at his text it says it right there.  And he talks of all the parts not being there, but once again they were covered in my talks with steph as bringing them as backups just in case.   I WOULD NOT HAVE LET THEM COME DOWN IF EVERYSINGLE PART WAS NOT ACCOUNTED FOR FIRST   The money he is saying he is owed is to FINISH the swap.   They still were not fired.   IN reality Steph was talking to Geoff and was refusing to finish, I will post that next, stay tuned

Here is Geoff's convo with Steph he sent me.  I was still hoping they would come back to finish, THEN they would get the rest of their money.  I had plenty left, even with the 200 higher for the tranny "or their costs".  But in reality when Cack was talking to me and being petty about reposessing parts, Steph was already saying she was done.

This all came to blow up over the 2nd tranny that was used.   Thats when things got ugly.  Even Geoff thought they were coming back to finish at this point.   I was left with a screwed up car.   Geoff was busy and did not want to do this.   He had to call me and inform me they were done and it was on him to come through for me.

This isnt that relevant but I want it off my PC.  It was Geoff and I talking.  I had a conscious over this.  I wasnt out to shaft anyone.  And was tossing and turning to give them more money.  Evryone insisted they were screwing me and leaving me to die and I shouldnt give them a penny.   But I still was unsure.   But today I am glad I didnt and stuck to my guns.  Once again I have tried to  get a hold of Geoff and let him know I was posting things with him in it.  But I was unsucessful so hopefully he isnt mad.

And here is the last thing I have.  This was a fight on BNet with Jc and cack.  Jc made a slam to cack about what he did to my car, since he knew the whole story.  For months none of this was mentioned on the board.  This convo is to show why I came out of no where throwing fists as Cack said earlier.  People like JC haved IMed me for months to post it and "slam" them, get them banned, etc etc.  But each time I say one day, not now.  It gets kind of annoying.  Atleast after this I wont get that anymore.  Frankly I think I did pretty good keeping this off the board for as long as I have.  I was not a Bfest where the two of them had an open venue without me there.

organization?   I tried to make sure we had a back up part for anything that I couldnt get.   Look at all the things you forgot from the jackstands, to the right shifter, mounts etc etc before you talk aboutmy organization.  I slept at your place, or your parts haven in a sea of random parts strewn about, you guys are the kings of organization(yes that was a flame, but I am long over due)

Yes you are right it was 425, not 450.

It was never said you were going to purchase me a new axle or flywheel.   I would tell steph that I would try and get transportation and get the parts myself.   At a certain point you guys were on so many parts runs she MIGHT have said she would try and get them new for me, but I have NO PROOF.  So I showed you the convo where I said bring your USED ones as back up.   She AGREED.

This list was created upon my return it included items that were not on hand and not my responsibility.

You have a figure of $875, where is this figure from?  There were some petty items that were added but not to add to the bill.  FYI if some people are interested, the bolts all GM and new, and some other new items were cost, nothing added for profit.

This project did perhaps go over budget on Jamie's end as he has his own list from brake lines, struts, MOMO. ÂÂÂ

This IS one of the main keys to not returning to Detroit.

Either one of us can sit here and write down that Erich and Stephanie were to complete a job for a set price but when buyer is supplying location, unseen car, and his own parts all is up in air. ÂÂÂ

A tool for example was purchased, a stepping drill which is a general hardware tool, and not specific to this swap was purchased,  Jamie gave me the tool and deducted it from my pay.  This is a grey area, but gives you an idea of the penny pinching going on here.
The figure of 875 was there along with Steph, I already posted it.   I was fine with your tally, just questioned the 250 for the shifter and 20 for that beat up plate as it was the first time I saw a price for it.  The issue about the tranny was dicussed time and again in my replies.

It didnt go over budget for my "goodies' , they totaled under 200 and I spent nearly 2000.  That would have covered everything in the world if you stayed and did the swap the right way.   It only went so high fixing many of the things you did wrong or rebuying parts that werent up to snuff from you.


All your prices are for a job completed, we never hit 1000 parts and labor.   I had 1800 cash.   You can keep posting that parts list all day, you never finished the job.  All you had to do was explain the break up of the 250 for the tranny as, say 100 for the tranny and 150 for hotel and gas and much of this would have never happened.   You guys went into PMS nutzo girl mode and she bitched at you and refused to finish and got you all riled up.   I politely questioned the 250 for the tranny and 20 for the shift knob.  Then things hit the fan and she was on with Geoff refusing to finish.

The tool was brought up as a petty thing only after you were being shady.   I would never use it, I still have it and will send it to you...get over it.

I never once asked you to pay for my hotel room or gas. Never once... Where is the im about saving all the conversations so there are no suprises? I was not planning on "surprising" you with extra costs thats why.

I never once told you that I would charge you cost on the transmission so i dont understand why paying $250 is ripping you off.
Still the trans costs $135 and you only wanted to pay $65 because thats what Geoff said.    You never AGAIN told me to bring usuable axles, but cores because you were to buy *NEW* ones at autozone in Detroit along with your fidanza flywheel. I got axles but from a 5spd 2.4 isuzu grand am for cores. since new ones are $60 a piece when you have cores to help you get the best parts for the money. You wanted brand new wheel bearings, brand new axles, and a new flywheel. I brought all cores "assuming" autozone carried them in stock like they do in Chicago. But #### hit the fan when autozone didnt have anything we needed.
A smart person would think that if the flywheel was not machined, it could have been because it was meant for a core... even though it was in really good shape for a used flywheel.

I openly admitted forgetting the jacks, $30 for a set of jack stands isnt alot of money. borrowing them from a friend is priceless though.

I drove 330 miles, got a room, paid for and removed a greasly 200k mile transmission, CLEANED IT,  worked in a school parking garage with a security guard harassment service 20 ft away and cars driving by every 10 minutes. No power outlets, basically no lighting, no water.. Gimme a break.

Once I realized that you were trying to wheel and deal me on the transmission, I decided to take it upon myself that I didnt want to do business with you anymore, since what i paid for the hotel and gas wouldnt have been included since it was never discussed, remember no surprises.. I was royally pissed.

You can see Erichs total as $892, and your total of $850... $42 difference.  You never once offered to buy us lunch while we were working, which we did for 14 hours straight. or even be the least thankful for what we were doing for you. You just kept saying how you could give us/me things, honestly you didnt have anything I wanted. I just wanted the experience and to walk away fair and square.  I never called you inept. I never called you names. Grow up.

Oh, the other thing that I thought was funny was when Ribz had mentioned "Erich was bashing you, and his mom even called you a weasel!"   LOL I got a kick out of that because Erich's mom has called me a weasel (for reasons unknown) to my face even, as far back as I can remember. They have a strange family. And Erich.. talking $hit behind my back??? Nooooo. Can't be. He calls me up on the phone to ##### at me.. tells me I'm a dumba$$ and it takes me 2 years to do an engine swap. And I trash him right back. It's an odd friendship. Like I said, this is why everyone that meets Erich either tangles with him and decides they hate him, or becomes friends with the guy and gets along with him. You have to be able to take the $hit he dishes out though, and dish some right back.

As I said before, my beef with this whole situation is just hearing the circumstances and imagining myself in that situation. It has nothing to do with Erich and Steph.. substitute another name in there.. its still a bum deal for the people who had to do the work for you.

I'm tired of typing Erich and Steph.. from now on, they shall be known as Stephrich. Its quicker.
