Eric, I love the sink, but unfortunately I couldn't tell you the name. I do know there are a lot of sinks out there that look just like it and I'm sure they don't look much different from each other. I really need to upload some updated pictures since its been finished for almost 2 years lol. Crazy how time flies.

Ok. We had a Franke sink and the reviews on it were god-awful so we returned it before installing. I was wondering how yours has held up, since that was the knock on the granite sinks I read about.
Steph, the house projects are actually easier than car projects for the most part...it's not really rocket science. And other than getting careless with a utility knife it's gone pretty well without taking any classes. Google is your friend when you needs specifics on code, etc.

House electrical with solid wire is so much easier than automotive though. No crimping or soldering or waterproofing...just twist 'em together and wire nut. And with 3 conductor spools you only have to run one wire since the ground is built in. I like it.

yep, i agree, it's pretty easy. just be aware when you are hooking it up at the panel, and be aware of how many circuits you are tossing on one 15 amp fuse/breaker... and what things could be plugged in trying to draw on that one circuit...
the thing i hate is all the drywall damage you have to repair when retrofitting!

Made more progress this weekend than I have in the last month! The hand is just about back to normal.
Ran a dedicated 20A circuit to the laundry room and wired in a light switch. (Before all the basement lights were on 1 circuit with a 1 switch at the top of the stairs.) I really like the recessed lighting fixtures...they save head room and they have push-in connectors, so you don't have to mess with screws or wire nuts.
Once I get the drywall done and painted I can lay some Luan on the floor and install the linoleum and level/install the cabinets and counter tops. It's getting fairly close to being done.

Getting shocked isn't so bad, I've been hit by a 220 line once, burned an arc line halfway up my arm, 110 is nothing now lol. Gas lines on the other hand, I refuse to touch.

Yeah, really orange. Once the base cabinets are in and the counter top it should tone it down enough. The flooring and the counter top both match the counter I put in the kitchen so it's a dark neutral. I did a quick photoshop that looked cool.

Vinyl sheet. It'll be my first time working with this stuff, so we'll see how it goes.
