Probably a security system that was removed. Love how people just cut the module out and leave the rest. It's probably like somine else said and a loose wire on the connector for the guage panel. You have to pop that out before you remove the dash, so if you're waiting on pulling the dash, which is quite the job if you've never done it, you can pop that out and at least inspect it.
If you don't wanna buy the books from My91GTZ (but you still should) I can scan and fax/email the wiring diagrams from the same book.

so, i get the dash out, still didnt find a home for the missalanous plug, but heres the kicker, i trace all the wires, all appears to be fine and dandy, fuses are good, no cuts, no splits, nothing, so i plug the switch in, plug the instrument cluster in, turn the lights on... and holy hell, theres light!!! this dam car just seems to amaze me....

i got the dash done, i got z26 seats in it for now, pretty beat up but better then the ugly black seats that where there, i finally got the interior some what cleaned up, im still looking for the kick panels and im getting teal indy seats for it, i havnt had a whole lot of time with it, but i did manage to get the exhaust some what fixed up for now, dont sound to bad but i still want to put my flowmaster on it with the dual tips, i also got it inspected, it needs a brake line and the marker lights replaced wich is where im at now with it...

They should have them in the bulb section at advance auto, or similar parts store, I've see ones there before.
Or Rockauto has them

well, i think i know what i want to do with this car, i have 2 91 white gtz's, one has the v6 auto, and this one has the quad 4, im putting indy seats in it, getting a teal gtz decal, going with a teal and white scheme for it, building the motor up using w41 cams, w41 pistons, i have a ported and polished 086 head for it along with a ported and polished intake, going to put a header on it with the 2.5in exhaust, swap the subframes and motor mounts to the 92+ style, and throw on the eibachs from the z(if these arent eibachs) and put in new shocks and struts(havnt chose a brand yet), i'll throw my system in the other one since it has airbags, and have the best of both worlds, one for performance, and one for show, eventually over the next year or two i will 3400/5speed the other one.
