Jon you must have heard mine in PA. It was never noticeable until the quiet muffler, but it was there.
And back on topic. My fucking headers did not come in today and the PC shop didnt answer the phone. I hate waiting for people. It drives me nuts.

Apparently they find it "normal" for the trans to make a metallic rattle type noise when in neutral at idle. To me it sounds like either the input shaft is sloppy on the clutch splines, or the input shaft bearing is loose causing the input shaft as a whole to wobble more making a sound.
Woody I never did hear your sound last year, or at least I do not remember it to be as noticeable as Roberts was when he was up to get his tune done.

No, it's not a metallic rattle...at least mine isn't anyway. It's hard to explain.

What I heard on Roberts was a distinct metal rattle.

Ok, if you listen closely and try to ignore the exhaust you can hear it here in an old video:

Heres mine. You can hear that thing slapping away. Its much worse when its cold out.
According to my odo, i have driven this car 19,xxx with the 3500 and 5-speed. It has NOT gotten any worse, and the trans had 110xxx on it when I got it. It has been beat on more than any trans on this site, I guarantee it. Just last saturday i probably did 5-6 redline clutch drops and tons of power shifting. If your not an idiot, you will not break this trans.

Didnt get jack done today, but Saturday Robert came up so I could shorten & Rodney Dickman his shifter. One of the local stopped by and was all excited I got a new Beretta! haha I did get some work done on a custom FE7 bracket too. I don't think the 90-91 style will work that well for me, so I did start fabbing a taller one with more clearance for the bulky custom endlink.
2berettas1garage.com (Not as cool as cakefarts though.)

The powdercoat guy finally answered his goddam phone and I got the story with my headers. I told you before he lost my address, number & color choice, and apparently when he coated them last week they blistered and had to be reblasted and recoated. He said they should ship Wed (today) and I should have them by tomorrow.

Damn, if you had just gotten some replacement stuff from ColorGuard you'd be done by now.
