The compressor isn't in a position that I can't disassemble it again though... But I did run a brass brush around all the sealing surfaces. None were pitted but there was some slight aluminum corrosion that all came off so I should be all set from here on out. But that's also why I'm going to vac the system down and leave it to make sure it will hold a vacuum which means it will hold pressure.

Got the whole ac system back together and in as well as filled up with PAG oil. Got a vac pump from harbor freight too and pulled vac on the system for 10 min disconnected the pump and it held vac for well over an hour. I'll see what it's like in the am.

Also put some parts back in the bay. As well as reassembled all the hvac and heater box inside... I hate working upside down trying to get little screws.

And I can't remember if I posted this but I got the old year vent cover in place now.

Seeing how all of my stuff is at the machine shop I'm planning on starting on cleaning out the transmission and making sure everything is good in there.

It looks awsome! It makes me want to do my firewall.

I don't think there is a flat surface left once everything is in it... LOL

Oh man I love that cover! So does it help get the air in more directly when the AC is on max(when the vac controled door opens)?
Got to help keep crud from getting in! Damn pine needles in this area get into everything.

It just keeps the rain out!

When the ac is on max that door lifts up and blocks outside air and cycles only the air in the car through the system.

LOL, was thinking it was the other way around. Not sure why......wow, talk about brain dead.
Keeping rain out is a good thing. What years had that cover? Just the first three?

Yeah I believe so... I'm not sure on the cutoff but I know 94's didn't have it and I never had a 93 to look at. My 90 already has it there so that's good.

I think we got this from either a 91 or a 92 GTZ in the yard, I can't remember the year.

Was that on the black car down here in Charlotte? If so it was a 90.

(Sorry for the highjacking, Johnny Bravo flashback...)

I do like that firewall cover over the blower motor though. I'll have to find one myself now.

Someone must have taken off the one on my 90GT. Sealing the cowl was one of the first things I did when I got the car. I'll keep my eye out at the JY, now there is even more Beretta gold.

Well add another upgrade to the list. Just got done speaking with Jeff at EP and rather than doing a freshen up to my LSD I'm going to convert to a 4t65e HD differential and replace the whole LSD unit. Go big or go home. :)

This ought to be fun to figure out. This requires running a different inner CV joint and hopefully it doesn't add much length to the tail shaft otherwise I may have to find a shorter axle shaft. I'm also hoping it doesn't move the holes I was planning on using for the rear trans bracket on the 3500... but we'll see.
