Got ya on the seats. I always wanted Z26 seats for the 90. The glass shop didn't charge to find the leak(cowl panel is where it's leaking). My cowl panel is not in very good shape, so I'll try to get a new one. You said "pumps"? Are there two? I found only one. Well, I'll take the car up to another shop to find out about the trans mounts. Still think two are out, I have the solid mount(hope that's one of them so I can do it). You envy me sometimes? Man the way I see it there is good and bad on both of our years for building power.  As you can tell, the push to get things done has started. I will drive the car to work Wednesday, hope nothing else shows up to work on!

well i meant had pumP. I thought you said there was an antifreeze leak, not a water leak. sorry my bad, ya it is deff from the cowl. reove the cowl and behold the cracks in the sealant from the firewall man, thats what happened to me, ugg that was a pain. I envy you cause you don't have a second O2 sensor, i had to go buy a simulator to shut up my car about the cat not working correctly (i think i broked the cat  ) That is true about both of our years have their ups and downs. I've never looked into my trannie mounts, i only did the upper poly insert and the lower and my motor does not move at all    I like the torque. I love how we are posting one comment a day lol, this is a very inneficient way of communicating lol

Yea, I hear ya. I think this is the best way to talk, we can always go back and look at what was said(that and we may not have the same time to talk). Man, I've got to watch what I post. On the way to work the check engine light came on. It was off later and didn't come back on. I'll check it out on Saturday, that's why I got the AutoXray. It's a good one, data log and everything.

Well, the shop said that the lower trans mount is out(good thing I have the soild one), they say there may be more mounts out also(??). They did the Eibachs on the Cav. They also said the alt's regulator may be going bad and their not sure on the master cylinder(they are very busy now, so I don't think they wanted the extra work). If you ever want a AutoXray I got mine at www.autotestsys.com the one I have was a referb(it was like $250 I think).

Well, I got the soild mount on(one pic of it, will post later). There is more than one mount out for sure. I took the bracket and moved the engine/trans about 6 inches for and aft. After the mount was on I pushed on the upper intake and the engine moved some still. The idle went up to 2500rpm backing out Sunday and then went down to 1500rpm. I have a TPS-TEC from Caspers Electronics off the 90GT. I hooked it up and the idle was where it should be,  bad TPS. The new oil pressure switch is wrong. Now it says that the pressure is past the 80 mark(new one on order and not the same brand). Still can't get the swaybar end links on. The trans has some long shifts if I push the car hard(looks like it will need to be rebuilt). Again I will have to pay my dues with a Beretta.

hey man, the newer 3100's trannies do have weird shifts. I thought mine was bad untill i figured out it's just the way that those trannies shift. Don't worry bout the trannie too much.

I'll have it checked out(just to be sure). Do you have a 4T60E 6r8ph1X? Sounds like I may have to get B&M's ShiftPlus (should work, works for a 95 Cav). That would firm up the shifts, but you have to cut the wires. Caspers has the GM weatherpack connecters. All that would be a side project. Thanks for all of your posts!  I don't think anyone else even looks here.

Unfortunately shift firmness isn't controlled electronically on the 4T60-E like on the newer transmissions.  You can however get an adjustable vacuum modulator.

Thanks 6r8ph1X, I'll have tons to ask. Hi Cliff, thanks also for the help. I don't know anything about this trans. I did change the fluid and saw that there was no valve body, so I thought it was all electronic. Where do you get the adjustable vac modulator? I can't stand the way it shifts. It's what I like to call a slack drive transmission(too much slip on shifts). The old fluid wasn't bad(a little dark), but there was alot of metal slime in pan(not sure if had been changed in a long time).

Most of the vacuum modulators available aftermarket are adjustable,  They have a little screw in them.  I believe you crank the screw in to make the shifts firmer.

However probably the most effective way of firming the shifts is by shimming the accumulators in the transmission and/or going with the HD springs.

And the reason you didn't find the valve body is because it's under the side pan, not the bottom pan.

Yea, I remember how the adjustable ones are set up for the THM350/THM400 RWD. That may be the way to go, as of now I just want firmer and quicker shifts(don't need to bark the tires). The adjustable vac mod would save me alot of money if it will do what I want it to do. Who makes them? Where do I get one? Two pans, what will they think of next?
