Mounts don't clunk unless assembled wrong, there are or should be no moving parts... Struts clunk. Trust me, thats why I just did my struts.

Which Mike? and which car? Mike Morris? I only knew him to have his mint GTZ

Mike with the flat black car that Shane bought (with the cut up firewall.)
It makes a little noise and you can see some play in the mount from the top side, but man it rides smooth. I haven't hit the twisties hard to see how it behaves, but ride isn't nearly as harsh as the Camaro with the heavy springs. I can show you at Pat's wedding.

Oh yeah that car...
Think it will make it to the wedding?... LOL
The mount shouldnt clunk or "move a lot" though It will move a little since its a metal lower cup and the top large washer thats just sandwiches some rubber between the two, but the two metal parts should bottom out on each other in the middle... hence there should be no clunking noise unless the nut is loose, or the rubber is completely worn out and the top cup is hitting the strut tower.
I'll bring my GM mounts that were 15yrs old and still quiet... I only replaced them since I wanted new top washers... LOL

the other ones were dirty as hell.

Threw the new radiator in it tonight so it should be all good for the long drive. Have I mentioned how much better of a DD this car is than the Camaro? hahaha

I noticed today that I can hear rattle from white car @ idle, and that sound seems to come from the throwout bearing, since flooring the clutch makes it go away instant.
Even if the bearing is quite new, less than 5000km on it.

I haven't noticed the "input shaft rattle" at all since my rebuild. I'll listen to it closely and report back...I forgot about it. Too surprised about the clutch pedal pressure! haha

Flooring the clutch also stops the input shaft from rotating.

True, my trans has all new internals so I guess this is feature then, but didn't notice the sound before yesterday, like it just appeared.

I did listen yesterday and mine is there. It's very slight, but it's there. And I rebuilt the damn thing myself, so I know that bearing was replaced.

I have one last thought... How loose is the input shaft splines into the clutch disc? without the ability of the shaft to extend into a pilot bushing, since woody thought it was too short to even reach nevermind not having one there... then you may be hearing the shaft and splines on the clutch plate shake around just a bit, but once you push in the clutch as noted by Barry everything stops moving, and also when under load the car doesn't make any noise.
