Yard finds

So my job requires a good bit of traveling which allows me to hit random yards around the state which lately haven't had a whole lot of anything L-body related. Well today was different. The first yard had about 7 Berettas and a very interesting Corsica. The second had a mint 91 GTZ with a blown quad and a very nice Corsica LT. The interesting Corsica had leather seats but wasn't an XT. No leather shift knob as it was a column shifter, no leather steering wheel, no power options, and no gfx. Can anyone verify if these are actual XT seats?

That Corsica is not leather it is full synthetic. It is some sort of custom OR special fleet car. Very interesting. It is even perforated. There are no part number for those seat or door panels.

Corsica XT's have Excellent quality leather. Where most all GM's including Caddy have leather on top and not on sides...XT's have uniform on all panels. The rear has a pull down arm rest. The door panels are always power and leather covered. The shifter and the brake lever are also covered in matching gray leather. So they are ALWAYS floor shift and not column.

This car you found has vinyl inserts.

Yeah, it definetly threw me off. I'm grabbing the seats anyway because they are REALLY comfortable. The way the seats are worn it looks like the passenger and rear seats were never sat in so maybe it was an oddball fleet car. I'll try to get more info from it when I grab the seats. Erich, were the XT seats leather versions of the seats that the LTs got? I saw a really nice LT with cloth seats that look exactly like the seats in the Feretta concept.

You're from SE Michigan, right? We see all kinds of strange test cars around here... wouldn't surprise me if this is one of them. Very cool though. You might as well snag the matching door panels.

Hey Kyle, I'm actually on the east side of WI about halfway up. I was planning on grabbing the panels too. I'm gonna check the codes on the spare tire cover while I'm at it to see if anything sticks out.

Corsica XT had bucket seats in the rear with headrests, not a bench.

I like that two tone Beretta, lol. What yard is this?

Ahh. I'm confusing you with another member in my area with a very similar SN.

The GTZ is in excellent shape. I already pulled the front bumper and spoiler off. Blue interior, great fenders and hood. I haven't checked under the car as this yard has a serious bee problem and I dont do well with the little bastards.

This is a WI yard so they will not sell the car as state law does not allow it.

The yard is Lima Auto in sheboygan, WI. They'll pull the parts for you but they aren't terribly cheap.

Here's a couple more pics of the seats now that they're out. Erich, I took a pic of the part # on the rear seat bottom for you to see if it shows up anywhere else.

Why would you want a blown motor in Wisconsin?

dude, seriously, figure something out, and come get mine... its to the point where im tossing the idea around of selling it whole on cl to some guy who will make it his beater or race car, or stripping off what i want and parking my jeep on top of it... so for the love of god, just come get the dam thing, $750 isnt bad for it. i paid $1,400 and spent well over $500.00 getting it home.
