Firewall bulkhead sealer

Ok so I'm installing my new wiring harness and I just got the old one out, well my pass side floor is soaked and when I put this new one in I wanna seal it up there pretty good to see if that fixes her, but one question I had was what kind of sealer did they use there tar? Or a normal sealer cause when I took it out it felt like tar, I was looking into the nice 3M seam sealer the kind without a hardener like fusor takes

As long as its not silicone based, you should be fine. About any auto place will have proper body seam sealant.

I think i'm going to go with the 3M stuff it's the same stuff they have have been using on seams for years like the seams on the back of quarter panels on older cars, I know there's a trick that you can do to duplicate the factory brushed look, if you buy a chip brush and cut about all of the bristles off but leave about an 1/8" of bristles and stroke the seam sealer it looks like factory
