Thanks for taking the time to update us on the car. Nice to see another GTU running around. The paint on mine went full-on peel-o-matic last year, so the top of the car is more grey than white. I still haven't finished the Pontiac GTA I'm working on to 'tribute' the '89 Indy Pace Car (Turbo Trans Am -and though I hate the term 'tribute', I can't call it a 'clone', as NONE of those cars came with a manual transmission and all had 'camel tan' interiors, mine will not), and both the GTA and GTU should get re-painted at the same time (same white...). I too have black wheels on my white GTU (stock GTZ though), and miss the original GTU rims (stolen years ago) terribly. I love those "GTU" door panel emblems, I might be inquiring to see if more are still available -I know the thread in 'Classifieds' got bumped recently...
