Bilstein shocks for Saab 900 application. Will fit 87-94 with no issues, just drill out upper mount to fit larger stud. 95+ you will need two lower brackets that typically come with new Monroe replacement shocks as well as bolts. Also it will allow the suspension to droop further than normal and Eibach springs are known to fall out of position when this happens. No other fitment issues.

I could be wrong, but I think they are a bit too stiff for what you do. Unless you have FE1 springs.

I think these would be a decent upgrade for him, but unfortunately I don't know what he would run for the front to match. It would stop some of the rear to front roll on breaking though and he may lift a tire... lol

Ha,ha yeah a tire coming off the ground would be very bad thing and that was just what I was thinking about.
I remember a video on another site. The Beretta had some aftermarket springs and Bilsteins. Three guys jumped on the drivers fender and it didn't move.

That's more so the springs. These do not feel overly heavy on the compression valving but that's also moving them by hand, I'm sure when more force is applied the resistance changes. The Koni's I'm going to can be far more stiff on rebound than these will ever be.

Wow I thought the Koni's gave a better ride and were less harsh(like a step down from the Bilstein).

They have the adjustability to do that, as well as be stiffer than the Bilstein, so in reality the best of both worlds. Hence why they are $100 more for a pair of rear shocks.... lol

It's alway nice to learn something. Sounds like you found the right ones for your car. Any thoughts on rocker renforcement? All that pressure from those stiff rear shocks has got to go somewhere. I'd think the rockers will have to eat it(pressure from the front and rear that is).

I have KYBs in front and hand me down Konis in the rear currently. It works great. The rears need replaced though as again, they are older but still work. One of them is dying I think as the top of the shock will not stay put and moves up and down as I run. Very annoying to hear that metal disk cling-clanging.

Send the Koni's in for rebuild in the off season, problem solved.

If they were struts I'd buy them. Zeds suspension is long in the tooth.

I don't think Bilstein makes a strut cartridge for a J-body like Koni does... so that means only Bilsteins you would find are Geoff's which need to be rebuilt IIRC.

I just want these things gone.

My Koni rears are showing up Monday I hope to have full Koni suspension when I go to Epping on the 6th.

You have my interest peaked. I remember bilstien being the best back when, but I have no idea what I would buy for the front. I've been trying to track down a used set of konis to send off with no luck so far.
