Isn't/Wasn't this a members car?

1970 LeMans with 19K MILES! Look at this thing! Garaged since 1971

I would LOVE to have an original like this one, much neater than a restored garage queen.

I wish my 70 Tempest was in that shape. She is all original but needs a crap load of work done...runs and drives! Has 109,000 original miles on the straight six 250 :-)

Wish I had $600 to spend a year ago my buddy owns a scrap yard and had a 71 lemans sport had the original 400 and needed rebuild due to no front clip exposed to the weather, had the seats and all but needed attention and needed wheels bodywork and painthad original orage paint on it and I could come up with the money so he crushed it :(

Mine sat in a forest since around 1999 or 2000 (Inspection ran out 98 or 99) AND it has the wrong front clip and interior. It was originally an enduro "GTO" nosed car with buckets and a console and now it has a 70' LeMans front clip and a bench seat. Still have to finish up welding new flooring in and welding the new quarters on.

Absolutely love it though, kinda grew up in it (I was only like 5 or 6ish when it was no longer being driven, but I remember riding in it, actually there is still writing on the back window from me LMAO. And there was candy and I believe a toy or two I left in it when we brought her back.

A straight six original car would actually be really cool though, probably slow, but cool.

So we are in the same boat with the floors and quarter panels lol...damn rust. these are the only bad spots on the whole car. I love working on that straight six...so easy!!! But she is slow lol :-)

That is my car. I put it up a few weeks ago just to see if anyone would bite. I'm surprised nobody has ripped me for the price yet. If anyones intrested call the # and we can work a deal. I'd obviously come down on the price for a member.

I don't think your price is that crazy, it's a very nice car, and obviously you don't want it going to some kid and getting destroyed, and the price should prevent that. I know when/if I sell the GTU it sure as hell isn't going to a kid.

And if anyone complains, so what? If they don't have the money, then why are they bothering you?

I love that car, one of the first I looked at when I joined IIRC.

Get any crazy low ball offers yet? Seems to be the norm on CL. I had someone offer me like $15 a wheel for Corvette rally wheels (they said that is all complete ones were worth) a few months ago, which I just sold a week or so ago for $500.

No suprisingly I have not gotten any lowball offers on it yet, in fact I've only gotten one call on it. A couple days ago, a guy from Syracuse called me about it, and he seems to really want it. The only thing holding the sale back is the SES light. In New York state, if your car is a 96 or newer, it will not pass NYS emissions inspection. Once I get it sorted out, I'll give him a call back.
