hello eveyone my name is jeff and im looking in to buying a beretta from a friend . The only donw side of it is that the car has a 2.0 four banger in it. Here is were my ? comes in, another buddy of mine has a turbo set up off a 2.0 out of a 89 sunbird gt. Will the header bolt up? I know I will need to drill and tap for the oil and water lines and make a down pipe and stuff.

Well any more info on this or ways to make it faster plz let me know i plan on a turbo even if the sun bird header will not fit i guss ill just weld on up but ye thanks for any info you all will give me and im glad you have this cool site here that im now a part of

Those are two completely different 2.0 engines. The turbo and its manifold will not bolt to your cylinder head  in the Beretta.

well im looking at doing this list first

8mm wires
biger fuel injecters
look for under drive pullys
shave egr
cold air intake


port heads and valve job
ported intake

latter plans
turbo setup
wet 50 shot

my gole is to try to hit 250 hp but i thank ill do good to hit 200 lol

save your money, and get a 3.4L V6 for a couple hundred bucks.

i dont want to have to re-wire the whole car im not good at wireing when it come to swaping to a diffrent motor then what the car has i would not know what i would need

it's not that hard, do a search, this a fairly common thing. if not you'll spend alot of time and energy on the current motor, and you probally won't be as happy with the out come.

well im not looking for much i mean im puting a 350 in my s10 but the wireing is the same seen the 4.3 has the tbi and the 350 also has the tbi set up also im about to covert it to all wheel drive that will be my toy i just want a car that when im out ridin in town all the ricers honda cant beat me because i know hondas are slow like a 1998 Honda Civic runs a 18.1 when a 2.0 beretta runs a 17

2.0 beretta does not run 17. you'd be lucky to get 20's. With all those mods you listed you would probably make 130hp maybe less. ÂÂÂ

I would not touch that car with a 10 ft pole honestly.

Ditch the 2.0.  It makes 95hp stock.  


I'm not saying that there is nothing you can do with that engine.  But you'd like lucky to hit any portion of the 17s with mods.

If you FI it, you'll reduce the reliablity, but see 15's.
