Please see attached pictures. 1995 Beretta with ~170,000 miles. Had it since it was a baby and enjoy it greatly. Head gasket was leaking coolant slowly in multiple places. Oil always looked ok. Decided to finally replace the head gasket and most other gaskets that I can get to. Got the head off today, and am not pleased with the valves. The colors are different on cyl 1, and cyl 3 intake is eaten away slightly and whiter. I think cyl 3 intake valve still seals ok, but did not test compression nor do i have a way to test. Any experience you could share is much appreciated. I think i have to wait for this to post since it is my first one. Thanks for your help!!!

While the head is off take it to a machine shop and get new valves installed and checked to see if it warped, its would make it a lot more peppy thats for sure. The 2.2 is a very tough motor, out of all i have driven never had any issues with burning oil or really anything but head-gaskets.

They like to spin bearings though and throw the rods so put some arp rod studs in them but you probably left the motor in the car, I would recommend putting a set of arp head studs in it
