IMPORTANT QUESTION!

This question has been burning inside my head for awhile now. Since I do not have a 100% proven reason or cause as to why my quad four is seized, I will only assume what is going on. So months and months ago I ran out of oil and my engine seized. I have a 1990 Beretta GTZ, as almost everyone here knows now. Good news is, I have her covered for the winter and stuff, she wont be wrecked by the snow and I take very high measures to ensure its a good storage (since indoor storage isnt available to me).

Come spring, or maybe even one of these weekends before then, I was wondering if I could get the engine to unseize. I have heard of miracle methods online, different careful methods to possibly getting the engine to turn again. I want to know if this is even possible with my q4 ho engine? I hope I can get this car fixed by next spring/summer. If I could unstick the engine, would that speed up the process at all? Is it even likely I can get it unseized?

Disassembling it will unseize it which you have to do anyway to rebuild it. Trying to turn it over as-is still assembled could cause further damage.

I've got a parts Malibu with a seized 2.4 and that sucker is SEIZED!

I have no reason to keep the engine, so I tried using a variety of methods, including pulling the plugs and spraying each cylinder heavily with a penetrating oil (I use this stuff called M-60 that is a lot like PB Blaster) and left it for a little while. That didn't do a thing. So I tried some Rotella 15W40 and poured it in and let it sit for a few weeks and it did nothing. I'd probably bust the crank snout off before the pistons would move LOL

Pull off the head and drop the oil pan, it's the simplest way to get a real view of your engines condition.

Just take it out and take it apart... no miracle will fix the damage done. Even if you got it to turn over it's still pretty f-ed up inside.
