I see they mention F-bods, but will these actually work for our cars?

I wouldn't mind having subframe connectors, but I doubt anyone actually makes ones specifically for our cars. Anyone know of a specific model/brand that will work for our cars?

No, there is nothing. Fuel and brake lines are in the way and there is nothing to bolt or weld to if you went to the inside of the rocker.

I could see some benefit from simply welding up body seams...but that would be best done without an interior/drivetrain/exhaust, etc. Most of them are held together with spot welds and then filled with body seam sealer.

Just like that VW Jetta commercial with the spot vs. laser seam welding=buttons vs. zippers for clothes.

I looked at this a few years ago when I was building the 91. Unfortunately, I did not come up with a good solution. GM did a good job of using every inch of real estate under the car. Welding all the unibody seams would help rigidity, but prepping all the galvanized metal for welding was too time consuming to be worth it IMO.

I'd still like to give structural foam a go. Used by Mercedes, Cadillac and others for sound deadening and structural purposes. The "frame rails" of the unibody are good places to add some extra beef.

I've spent many hours under my car thinking about sub frame connectors and I haven't thought of anything good. I saw a mid to late 90's firebird on a lift with subframe connectors but the unibody on it is designed differently that berettas.

Sucks that there aren't any connectors, guess I'll hold off, just would've been nice to add some rigidity to the car (mostly for safety, the handling seems awesome), not that Beretta's are all floppy or anything. It's been awhile since mine was on a lift, so I didn't remember the lack of unused space. I never realized how bulged down the floor pans are on these.

Nope, just the stock GTU suspension setup.

They do help and I know you are thinking that you would feel bumps/potholes more, but I feel them less.
Sang a front bar off a vert z24 around 1992. If you can't find one I have four.
Go to MRZ and get the rear(they are the only ones that make them).

Oh and by the way I also have a sub frame brace from a Z24 that will bolt up to your car. If you want the bar and the brace I can send them in the same box.

I felt a great improvement in my Corsica, but I drove it for 10 minutes before I brought it in the shop for a headgasket job. It has been a 3 month project since then and it hasn't moved more than 50 feet.

Stiffening the chassis of a car will let the suspension do it's job better, instead of the unibody absorbing that force...which is where all the harshness comes from over bumps like that.

Is the subframe brace a pain to put on? Does it block anything?

Both are easy installs. I have them on my car, too.
