Hey guys, long time no talk. Sorry but I've been very caught up. After High School it was off to Navy boot camp. Now stationed in Groton, CT for at least a year while I get training. I finally got settled in and got my car here. Hopefully I can start to be a little active again. BTW is anyone in this area, it would be cool to meet some guys.

I was just thinking the other day that I had not seen you around. That kind of thing happens here though. You say "where is that person?" and then they just show up.

The beretta is doing well, still has some road rash from the mailbox but hopefully this Navy pay will help fix that. Just turned 100k on the way over from WI But shes still stong!

I remember the problem with the mail box. Yeah I bet that navy pay will help! What are you doing for them?

Keep in mind that timing chain should be changed sometime.

You have a tough job there. Not many can handle a life under water.

I haven't been on deployment yet. Still in a-school. But it should be pretty fun I really enjoy it so far. It's very demanding though. Lots of stuff to learn, A LOT.

It would be too much for me. I would freak out.....well I could. I have and old film called Steel boats and iron men. That and a few movies I've seen tell me that I can't hack it.

Haha, I enjoy the idea of the challenge. It's defenitly not made for everyone. One of the most under manned jobs in the armed forces. What about you, hows she running?

Running yes, moving no. I'm having trouble with a coolant by-pass tube. It is popping out when I hit the gas. I have to mod the tube to make it work.

In the old days people would have there chest stuck out and say "hey boy what kind of ship you on?". The guy would say a sub and the chest would deflate.

Hahahahah I can't say I've heard that one. I like it.
With the issue, is the area your putting the tube on painted? I remember my grandpa having an issue like this on his 55 Chevy he restores. Turns out the paint just made it slick. And would some sort of adhesive work?

Well it all comes from the intake swap. I didn't think I had the time to wait for a ported set that had been tapped for the stock by-pass tube. I came up with a stop gap that didn't work that well. No sealant should be used on a cooling system.

LOL I read that some where. People in the old days thought that men on subs were hard core. Even more than their drill instructor.
