Lately I've had this terribly shimmy at about 65-70 tried my stock wheels and tires, and got an alignment. Still there. Well I had it on the lift doing brakes thinking it could be warped rotors. I noticed some deflection on both front wheel bearings. Without taking it apart I cannot tell if it is press in or not. Does anyone know? Also what bearing/hub do you suggest.

It bolts in as a wheel hub assembly. Pull the brakes. It's 3 bolts and the axle but and it's out. Really easy job

I know how the hub works, but its $70 vs. a $5 bearing i was wondering if the bearing was press in though.

Is there anyone better than another? One someone could suggest.

Timken used to be the way to go but they have started to outsource stuff... SKF I believe is still good and those are around $71, Moog/National is top of the line last time I've heard. If you need powertools to do the job give me a shout.

There is always GM. Yeah they cost alot though.

Damn got to start reading topic titles and not just reading posts.
Anyway I had Moog everything up front on my 90GT. It was nice stuff.

I had TRW wheel bearings and killed them by not putting the seals in. TRW was great stuff, high quality and low price. Congress let Northrop Grumman buy them out. Somehow they think that kind of thing is good, it wasn't for the buyers. The company was split up and the retail auto parts line was killed. TRW was the top aero/space company before the fools in Congress ended that.

i've just installed my 2nd raybestos front one on my 95 (both sides... not replacing the same one...) seem to be doing the job well.

Pretty easy to do, soak the 3 torx bolts in wd40, then get a ratchet/socket torx the right size, a small bar on the ratchet for leverage, and clean/pick out the torx bolt head a bit first.
